In order to protect my own family, I stopped contact with my father, mother, and 2 sisters.
It started when one sister's teenage son was charged with over 10 counts of child molestation including penetration. My sister did not tell me. I got a tip. We had a family reunion planned with shared housing. I confronted her. She said that her son did not know that he what he had was wrong and I had ruined the vacation. I forgive her because she was in shock and denial. She continued to pressure me to get "the kids" together, even though her son was still involved with one of the victims, his younger brother, unsupervised, without therapy. When she told me that her sons did not know why I was keeping my daughter from them, I had to stop.
My father is a severe alcoholic. Last time I saw him he fondled my breasts. My mother is a mean drunk. My other sister has been a heroin addict for years and was in prison.
Why do I feel so bad about cutting off contact to protect my daughter?

I told him I like him after prom, which was the greatest time ever, and he said that he really likes me too. But he is going away to Italy for a month and he can't have a girlfriend at this moment as we are both entering college and don't know the level of difficulties to expect. He said that we should continue to be good friends for when we are ready.Im not desperate to have a boyfriend and my cousin said I should test other waters like ( I shouldn't wait for him), but I don't feel like doing anymore testing..lol. We have so much in common, I think it will be worth dating but if we loose contact this was the end. What do you think I should do to keep in touch ? Thank you for reading this

i really like this kid that i have knowen since the beginning of the year. we always high 5 and little stuff like that and i always flirt dont kno if he notices tho. but anyway i told 3 of my freinds

I am a progressive liberal so I am a little more enlightened then your average american. As such, I try to improve the world through my good works, I recently saw a documentary about how hard it is for criminals to get back on their feet after prison. I was ddeply moved. These men are heroes, and we all know that it is society that is to blame for why these men commited crimes. I invited three men to come stay with me after they got out. My wife and daughters were mad, but it was the right thing to do. Things are not going too well, they men trash my house and laugh about it. They steal and sell my things. They use my money to buy alcohol and prostitutes. I tried getting them jobs but they won't go. They beat up my neighbor for no reason and then they sexually assualted my wife and daughters. What should I do? I don't make a lot of money because of the republican economy and can't afford it. I know it is not these heroes fault, but i can't live with them anymore. what can I do?

I have tried going with different dating websites. No luck! I feel and my friends do also, that I am affable, attractive, and love a good time. My husbands narrow mined family is making comments that maybe he should have a dna test done on the baby I am carrying because "girls don't run in there family" I am hurt that they would even question it but would like to have some proof to show them that there thoughts have no logical basis at all?

me. I was cleared of the accusation , but we actually got back together for about 6 months. When we seperated again , I got the children, but we never went to the court to change the temp custody order. In the meantime he is living with another woman - he has lived with her for over a year now, I have had the kids the majority of the time for almost 2 years. majority of the time meaning I have them usually 5 to 6 days out of the week. I am trying to finalize our divorce now, but he is using the temp order against me , trying to get out of paying child support. If it says in the temp order he is not allowed to expose our children to his paramour (sp) ( his girlfriend ) isn't he violating the temp custody order by living with another woman and would the temp custody order still be valid? ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED :-)

This guy I'm dating said he was using the "services" in between relationships. He says he did it a couple of times before we started dating, like 2 months before. He told me about it like a BTW thing when our relationship moved into having sex stage. I said "How gross and unsafe". He took it as a hint and went and did a blood test. He's fine. Even though we had sex already, it still grosses me out. Especially I hate it that he didn't bother mentioning it when we questioned each other about our history. I can't seem to go past it. Yes, we use condoms. But they only reduce the risk, not eliminate it. It's more of an emotional issue anyway.

I was watching Schindler's list the other day, and noticed that Emilie Schindler was uncomfortable, but not necessarily upset that Oskar's had many different girlfriends. And in history it was fairly common for many wealthy men to have a wife and mistresses....I'm just curious if women were more comfortable/expecting/accepting/tolerant of this kind of behavior than they are now?
