Because the younger generation does not have respect for themselves let alone the older generation. If the older generation had of spoke to their parents the way this generation does, they would of had their teeth knock out. now a days you can't even spank a child for wrong doing because it is child abuse.
Lord have mercy on this younger unrespectful generation.

News flash here for you....not all "old people" are mean and further more I would much rather hear "Lord Have Mercy" all the time as to what most of the younger folks are saying.
I like the old sayings as to hearing all the cuss words that comes out of peoples mouths these days.
And how old are you calling old?

Their just bitter. They see how good people have it today but don't take advantage of it. We take everything today for granted and it makes them mad as hell. I feel so ashamed to be one of those people who don't realize how good thing are today.
They say Lord have mercy because they feel like we are doomed and the Lord is the only one who can save us.

Gosh that so typical of them, they do it to make you feel awful and terrible about yourself, its kind of head games, to make you feel guilty, and to some extent it does work, that's how my mom tortures me, since you mentioned, makes it easy to say and to understand myself.
