About how well should I know about a girl before attempting to ask her out on a date? I've been on the same team as her for test reviews in class (we do some type of jeopardy) and say hi or wave at her at times, but I've never really had a conversation with her.

If I catch her some time, would it be too blunt if I directly mentioned that I like her? Or, should I ease into it some other way (eg. ask about the weekend, and then say I spent my whole weekend researching on dating tips, etc.)?

I just recently gave birth 3 months ago. I am a single mother. I keep on running into this man. We crossed paths about 6 times in a row we were at the exact place at the exact same time. It was kind of weird and more than coincidence. We never spoke, but his energy always made me feel good, about my self which I needed. I began to look forward to seeing him to see if I would run into him--it became my entertainment sad enough. I feel bad that I have never spoken to him to see what our connection is about, and now I cannot stop thinking about him and defintely will speak to him or give him my # or something, but now I never see him, and last time I did he looked pissed. ive never had a real relationship and i think i'll be a while before i have one. for one i have high standards and i dont intend to lower them. also it seems to be a turn off that i hang out with guys. finally sometimes i will get pissed off to the point where i smack a guy for being an idiot.

my bra strap shows because it falls down since i have lost weight, i didn't have time to adjust the strap becuase i honestly didn't care if they showed, all i have to do is pull it up and try to be careful next time, i didn't do it on purporse, no one else cared, i mean they would tell me about it , but it really wasn't a big deal to them, except to this one guy , he insisted on me fixing my bra strap, this is the same guy that ranted on about me biting of his"thing" since i have what people refer to DSL

Our wedding date is set for July 7th. All of our invitations are sent out, my dress is here, the flowers and the cake have been ordered, the church and reception hall reserved. Everything is ready. We got in a fight the other night, a BIG one.. He now wants to break it off. He has a temper as it is, and I had learned to deal with it and kind of brush it off, but I don't know what to do! My husband and I have been married for two years. We met while pursuing higher ed. Currently I am working on my BA and working as a kindergarten aide. My husband has dropped out of school because he doesn't know what he wants for a career. He is working at a dead end job earning minimum wage. I am happy with what he earns now because it pays the bills. However I am soon approaching my 27th birthday and I would love to have children before I turn thirty but financially that would be impossible if my husband continues to work at his current job. I have tried talking to him about this and he closes up and tells me he doesn't know what he wants to do with his life. I am very frustrated because I want to move on to another chapter of our lives. I am seriously comtemplating divorce. Is this a good enough reason?

biologically jason and myself share the same mother yet he does not acknowledge me. He is well aware of my existance as well as that of my 6 children. he does so much for single moms yet won't acknowledge his own nieces and nephews. our mother knows exactly where i live but fails to acknowledge my existance and i just think its a shame.

I think they should choose as much as we should. It takes two to make a baby, why can only one make the choice to keep it?

I envision a world when a man can take a woman to court if she chooses to abort the child.
The judgement? She can give him the child and have legal permission to not have any responsibility for the child whatsoever. Don't want to carry the child for nine months? Give up the fertilized egg and have another woman carry it.
That's the same as an abortion but both parties are happy.

Next issue: children of rape (another one of the reasons why women choose abortion): give the child to the rapist so they can see the product of their actions for the rest of their lives. We'll see how long they can lie to the child when he/she asks where the mother is.

I'm just all about equality, that's all. Sometimes the man suffers...Sometimes the woman shouldn't have to suffer.

She has literally put me thru hell since she was about 10 yrs old. She was 11 months old when her dad and I divorced and he is a crook and liar. She discovered how to manipulate and get her way and he used it to his benefit and now that she is an adult, its not so funny and he has conveniently extricated her from his life. She is a mess. She lied on me and I had to spend my life savings in a lawsuit and really could have gone to prizon. Now I have this adult child living in my house. She runs off in my car at nite, steals my money, disappears and meets guys at my significant others house at nite because he works nites and no one is there. She throws fits and goes tromping out of my house. She ran up a $1200 dollar phone bill. I cant take this anymore and I just want to get her out of here. My son has moved out and I feel like my house is a war zone. I have done everything I can to help her but my generosity has ran out and I need her to pack and get out.

Since my husband is a young doctor and tired at night, we decided to have sex in the morning before our kids get up......well we were slightly too loud and woke up our 4 year old daughter who walked in........all today she wouldnt let my husband near me because she thinks he was hurting me.....when my husband came home and asked for a kiss from her, she ran towards me and said dont hurt mommy. She hasnt left me side all day until she went to sleep....and she insisted she slept with my husband and I in our bed with us.

My friend has been in an abusive relationship with her boyfriend, they've been goin out for 6 months now, he started abusing her three weeks ago, i found out 6 days ago from my friend.

I told her i was going to tell a trusted adult and her parents. Her excat words were "no! if you tell anyone, i swear i will kill you" and she had a serious face too!!! I dont want to mess with her and i cant tell if she's playing or that just came out her mouth but i dont want to get hurt or involved in this.

Situation:
Girl goes on date with this gorgeous guy she just met. They are having dinner in a nice, perfect, romantic restaurant. I usually become sad and a little depressed during the winter but most people do. Its been getting gradually warmer out but I still feel sad. I just found out my bf is going to Iraq soon and random things will remind me and upset me. I dislike college as well.
