In a previous question I had asked, " What do you feel is the normal age to be married, for the first time"? By asking that question, I was not implying more than once however, with the divorce rates the way they are I understand the dilemma. I would hope no one goes into a marriage with thought's of, if this doesn't work out I will just get a divorce, that would be ignorant. My apologies for any confusion this may have caused.

This girl seems way out of my league.
We joke in class.
We wrote a few e-mails back and forth still joking and laughing.
I wrote jokingly "we need to discuss over coffee the preliminary agenda for our new student organization bla bla bla..." not intending for her to take ANY of it seriously, and she responds:

"I don't know about the agenda, but coffee sounds good. I'm up for it whenever, so let me know if you ever want to go."

Maybe this should be obvious, but keep in mind this girl seems top of the line... gorgeous intelligent grad student... and coffee is about the most innocent rendezvous possible.

I know I'll have to feel it out to get a better sense of her intentions (hell, maybe she has a boyfriend), but give me your guess as to whether she's seeing this as a date or just a hang-out.

Thanks!!

Me and my boyfriend have been together for a yr and half now, live together etc.. he works away and only comes bk at the weekends( this has bin the past 5 wks now) on the phone he seems like he does really want to talk to me and hardly ever tells me he loves me (which is unusual) and when he is back home at the weekend he doesnt like to stay in with me or take me anywhere like he used to, he wud rather go to the pub with his mates, is he going off me or is this just stress at work?! iv tried talking to him about it but he says nothing is wrong (basicly he NEVER wants to talk about problems)

Lads points of views too plz. or anyone else in the situation. Thanks :)

My boyfriend and I have been together for almost 2 months. He just moved here from Jersey and keeps in contact with some of his friends from up there, which is fine. Except there is this one girl that is in love with him. He said that they never hooked up or anything like that, but his myspace messages tell a different story....kinda. It HINTS that there was something going on. But it was before we started dating. When I asked him, he told me he didn't want anything to do with her. Once he got back down here, they started talking again, which was fine. Then, she gave him her number and he called her. He denies calling her. I know for a fact he did, because she sent me a message with all the messages they exchanged and her phone number was included and I checked phone records because we are on the same plan. Should I get mad 'cause he lied? He knows I don't like her and he told me she gave him the number, but he said he didn't call. Should I trust me after this? I told him I know....

I'm 26 and very rarely approached by men. I have been told that I'm cute and dress well. I am intelligent and have a sense of humor. Also a big sports fan. Usually when I'm out with friends I am having a good time so its not like I am acting like a b****. What is going on? I don't have a problem approaching them. Its just nice to have them come to you sometimes. I don't have a problem with being single. I'm not desperate. Its just sometimes I would like to have someone instead of the same disappointments.

We love it but most of our friends and family think we have lost our mind. I would also like to know what people think of a Polyamorous Relationship in todays world????

I currently have a friend who is deployed to Iraq and he left his wife behind. Now one of my friends and his wife are unseperatable. Shopping, sleeping, hanging out with each other as much as they can. Things that never went on when the husband was around. Myself and several other friends suspect there might be something going on between them. How do I confront this issue?

ok here is the problem, there is a girl named kayla, a girl name erin, a girl named dasha, a girl name amanda, and a girl named cierra. We all used to be good friends. I dont like cierra and i never liked cierra because she talk bad about everyone even her friends. So everyone followed and she finally left our group. then it was all ok until erin asked me to ask kayla about her, to see if she said anything bad. She did. So erin was mean to her and kayla left and went with cierra, and amanda went with kayla. Now its me, erin, and dasha. Now this is what i want to happen, i wish me, kayla, erin, dasha, and amanda were friends again. but this cant happen because erin HATES Kayla and kayla HATES erin. I cant bring them together because erin wont even talk to kayla and even if they did, kayla would stay with cierra, because shes a sort of follower. I tried to talk to kayla and it was good, but then cierra said bad things about me to kayla, and now kayla HATES me, so this is soo hard. HELP!!

My friend just got out of jail from doing 30 days and lost his job. He is staying at my house since his wife will not have anything to do with him. I have two extra beds and I don't mind helping a friend that is down on his luck. He has only been here one day. But i'm wondering how long should I give him? Because eventually it will cramp my style. I already have a man that knows nothing about this. All I know is I would want someone to be there for me if it were me. And I am always the one to say "Instead of talking a friend down why not help him or her up". He went to jail for back due child support and his wife did not know about this other child. Yea, I know he deserved to go to jail and hes a dead beat for not paying. But he can't do things the right way without a job and a place to stay.

Went in to my boyfriends bedside drawers to find some cottonwool, and in the second draw down was a bikini, womens neck scarf, and a braclet. What does this mean? We have been together 2 months? Could they be ex's? Need advice.

My wife was molested, several times, when she was 6 by her older 1/2 brother. She is now 47. We have been dealing with this for probably over 7 years (since she told me). She has been to couseling and is doing great on a personal level, but her family, (5 sisters and a mother) who all live close by- make my wife feel bad and say she is a "trouble maker" and likes to open old wounds. It gets really sad and ugly at times. I suggest we stay away (even move away) from them but it's like those Chinese finger puzzles - the harder you pull away the tighter it holds you in. Any insights on how to deal with them?

My cousins baby boy (will be 1 year March 30th) is in a house where there is alot of yelling and drama. 6 people live in the house, not to mention people go to visit too. So, that leads to drama when everyone dont get along. Not ot mention my cousin and his girl argue while holding the baby. Is this bad for the child and will it have any long term damage? I appreciate everyone's dif views...thank u

I want my boyfriend & I to sit down with my mom and dad (separately b/c they're divorced) at dinner and tell them of our plans for engagement and upcoming wedding. We've been living together for 3 years now and have been planning this wedding for the past year or so. He thinks its a good idea rather then him asking them (since he doesn't know my dad very well anyway) alone.

So why no ring? I don't like long engagements. I don't like all the hype that goes into weddings. I love planning it, but without ALL the family obligations and input. So the later I hold off on a ring, the later I have to deal with that stuff.

But is it okay to tell and discuss with parents the situation or should I wait until there is a ring (which won't be for a few more months). I figure they play a too important role in this that they should know sooner....with ring or not.

What do you think?

Thanks for your answers.

My reception location does not have kitchen facilities (its a long story), so I was thinking I would like to have the dinner at a restaurant that is about a five minute walk away. The restaurant has a glassed in balcony that is separate from the rest of the restaurant. I was thinking of reserving the entire balcony and ordering the food in advance. I would like for us to do our toasts there and everything. Invited to the dinner will be the parents and complete wedding party plus dates/ immeadiate familes. DOes this sound amature or nice? The resaurant is european and quite fancy, the food is great and the servers are polite and friendly... I'm nervous that people will dislike the arrangements though, what do you think?
