If he's mean to you, why would you want to talk to him?

I would give him some space and if he comes back to you - tell him you want to be treated with respect.

In the meantime, find friends that are going to treat you well!

I suggest you stop paying attention to him. When he doesn't bother to talk to you, do not talk to him. Act for some time you do not notice him, even if he asks you for something answer with a word or two and pretend you are busy. After some time, if he wants explanation why you are behaving like that, means he cares for your friendship, if not let him be, he isn't worth your attention. There are plenty of guys out there, you can have so many guys for friends and to choose the one you like for a boyfriend, so it is this guy loss after all. If he decides to reform his behavior to you, then accept him back for a friend but bear in mind that he must be honest, loyal and true person, otherwise do not trust him.

I am sure you can meet a lot of other friends..so just go out to discos, in school parties, at sport centers, anywhere mix with the people and hang out with them, you will find really the right people for friends.

Sophie. If he ignores you, it means he has no interest in you nor in your feelings. The best thing to do is ignore him back. You have done enough already to catch his attention. Most likely he doesn't deserve your friendship, much less your heart.

PS: He sooner or later will discover that he has made a mistake, and by that time, your heart most likely will have found another guy who trully values you and appreciates you for the great person you are.

You have already anwered your question. If you quit talking to him and he didn't make any attempt to get in touch with you, then I think there is no friendship.

But, while you are thinking it through maybe you should write down what you like about him. It may be less than you think.

Good luck.

Real friends aren't mean to one another. I know you like him, but I think he's being a jerk. Find someone more worthy of your time.
