You're "ONLY" 18....dear lord...Go and clean the kitchen after all you do eat there don't you. Help the family out, be a contributor. Stop whinning. Oh, sure run away, move out on your own, then you get to clean the kitchen, the living room, bedroom, and the bonus is you get to pay your own bills.
Some kids just don't know when they have it good.

Honey if you're 18 please do some growing up and maturing. Come on cleaning the kitchen is nothing compaired to working 45 hours, 5 days a week, cleaning the kitchen takes 20 minutes tops. That would be a nice vacation to me, I don't like cleaning my own kitchen but its part of life and needs to be done. I've been helping my parents clean the kitchen since my mom taught me how a rag can be used to clean everything. Chores are part or are suppose to be part of growing up and learning how to be a responsible adult. If you are that immature at 18 that you're throwing a tantrum on a world wide internet system on how to not have to clean the kitchen I think you need to do some growing and maturing before thinking about running away from a 20 minute inconvience.

Only 18? You should have cleaned the kitchen 15,000 time by now. Do you think parents are personal slaves? I'm not a parent, but I expect to do my part in the world and at home. You may be 18 but sounds like you still need to grow up.

I have a hard time believing that anyone would run away from home just because their parent makes them clean the kitchen! Stop being lazy and go do your share of the household chores! If you run away from home, you'll be cleaning a lot more than just dishes. Think about it. Theres no magic age where you stop helping your family out!

Grow up this will teach you responsibility and running away is not the answer you would just be running to another kitchen to clean. Chores are each and everyone duty to proform just get with the program, a clean man makes a good man.

You are old enough to clean the kitchen and wherever you go you might be asked to clean more than the kitchen, so please do not run away. Cleaning at your parents' home is good practice for when you have your own home, at least you will be able to recognize when something or somewhere needs cleaning.

I dont see how cleaning the kitchen is so bad. Since your 18 it wouldn't matter if you ran away or not. Its your choice you wouldn't get locked up for it. Get a job and save up so you'll have enough to support yourself. Then go out and find a place to live and go from there.

If you own the house and pay the bills then you can do what you want. If you rent a room, then you may have some freedoms but you must still follow the rules of the Landlord. Being 18 does not automatically give you any rights... except the right to vote.

how are you going to run away from home because you are asked to clean the kitchen. as a member of the family you have to help around the house--your parents raised you, in a way you have to repay and make yourself useful. you cant expect your parents to do everything. stop whining.
