No. Pretend you're a guy and steal something so you can be together in Jail!

7-8 years difference isnt nothing when your an adult. But, YOUR NOT! I think your putting yourself in a situation that will hinder your development into adulthood. Dont be in a rush to be in love. You're still dealing with puberty and he's dealing with probation. Get the picture now? Do yourself a huge favor and be 16, with 16 yr old issues (like acne and prom and DMV tests and finals), not visitation hours and monitored mailings. If there is true love there, then he should want you to finish growing up. Otherwise he's just a typical man going for the easy score; a naieve teenage girl wanting the status of having a grown man bf. It isnt worth it in the end sweetie. A rose is so much more appreciated by the Earth when it has fully bloomed then if its plucked from the bush while still a bud. Bloom to your fullest sweetie and ditch anything or anyone that might hinder that process. You know the right decision.

Am I the only one who actually read this? She said she really loves him and he really loves her. Love IS INDEED possible at 16. I met my hubby when I was 16...he was 20. We've been together for 13 years, 2 children of our own and 1 adopted. My parents thought he was too old as well. Honey, if this is his first time getting in trouble, maybe being in jail will rehabilitate him. It also may not. Only you can decide whether or not to break up with him....unless, of course, the age of consent in your state is not 16. If you really feel like you love him and can still TRUST him, then I would say to give him a chance. If you have any questions about your love or trust in him, then maybe the two of you should take a break.

that age gap is perfectly ok....it is very much common....Only you know how much you love him....not your parents....

believe me breaking up with a person that you love is not easy....you will suffer for a long time....you love him coz , you know that there is something in him that you like him so much....and most of all he loves you in return too....and I believe he has been faithful to you...so what if after breaking up with him if you find a guy who is cheating on you and who is using you....just think well before you make a harsh decision....dont play around with other peoples feelings....you get what you give....if you give pains to others then you will get that in a even more hard way....

After agreeing with each other its ok to break up if there is no compatibility...but a seven year age gap is not a reason to break up....and you explain him that if he wants you, he has to give up his stealing habits....Always one deserves a second chance....

Hope you make the right decision....

For one thing, he is 23 and you are 16: yes, you should break up with him.
2nd, he is in jail: yes, you should break up with him
3rd, he was stealing, so obviously no good job: yes, you should break up with him
Do you see a pattern?

WELL..I ALWAYS SAY AGE AINT NOTHING BUT A NUMBER...SO I DONT WANT TO TELL U TO BREAK-UP WITH HIM...BUT MAYB WHEN U TURN 18 OR SUMETHING IT WILL WORK OUT A LITTLE BETTER..BECAUSE 7 YEARS IS ALOT, AND HE IS WAYY MORE EXPERIENCED...AND HE WILL TELL U ANYTHING TO MELT UR HEART AND MAKE U FALL FOR HIM..AND WHY WOULD U WANT A BOYFRIEND THAT STEALS?!?! UR YOUNG GURL..GO OUT THERE AND HAVE A GOOD TIME...GO TO DANCES, HANG OUT WITH UR FRiENDS OR SUMETHING!! FIND A GUY THATS AT LEAST 17!! =) PARENTS HAVE A REASON FOR EVERYTHING, AND YOUR PARENTS ARE DOING A GOOD JOB BY WATCHING OVER U...

I say break up with him. You are young and have so much life to live, trust me getting involded with a guy who is already in deep water is never a good idea. There are plenty of great men out there, and your parents have your best intrest at heart. So save yourself any heart ache or stress and let him go!!!

yes! If he is stealing and stuff then he is heading down a road that if I was you. I would notice the signs saying "Turn Back Now" ...before its to late and you do something you might regret!

Yes, listen to your parents. I know they are your parents and most kids your age think parents have their heads up their ***, but in this instance they are right. 16, my god you are too young to be getting involved with a guy like that.

Listen to your parents. You may not realize it now but they have the life experience that you lack. And they love you no matter what. Can you say the same for your jailbird b/f?
