My girlfriend asked me if I had been intimate
with any other women since we started dating
and I said that I had.
She hit the roof and told me that we were over
unless I tell her who it was and all the details.
Why do women say 'be honest' then turn on
you when you do? I don't feel I should discuss
this with her. How can I get out of it and still have my girlfriend?

For the past 14 months I have done nothing but think about my situation with my husband and its tearing me apart. When I caught him cheating after 19 years of marriage, he said it was not what I thought, didn't mean a thing etc., but he was planning to leave the marriage anyway as he was not the marrying kind, that he wanted to take risks in life, that he had never done something just for himself and had always had to compromise. He left the house and now lives in an apartment, and I really believe that the other woman is no longer in his life. He still comes back to our house for 3 or 4 days of the week and stays over and our life continues as if we were married, but when I mention about him coming back or why he stays away he wont answer any of my questions.
I am thinking that perhaps he used me from the start, for financial reasons, but would a man use someone for 19 years? He is 42 and I am 54 and we have a daughter of 17. Why does he still come back if he wants freedom?

I know this is insensitive, i too have gained weight since we moved house. But i noticed and have started taknig actiosn, with diet and walking.
When i ask him to join me for a walk, he states ' why its not as if we have to walk anywhere' He is only 24! he works an office job part time, adn a bar job part time. otherwise drives everywhere as we live in the countryside!

any sneaking meals i could give him, or ideas?

Did you argue a lot over blending the family? Did you have a hard time putting your spouses kids over yours? Did you fight over baggage over previous relationships? Did you almost give up? It's tough when both are on their second marriage with baggage and kids. Our first year has been very rough. I believe my wife is under the impression sometimes that it was easier being single and that makes me feel like dirt like I'm not worth it. Of course it was for me to but she seems to be cooling off sometimes with our marriage. I keep telling her that it's tough and what did she expect. I'm willing to work through issues but feel she liked being single. How can I get her to realize that finding love is not that easy and let's stick it out? I feel like she's going down a road that she'll regret later even though she thinks marriage is too tough. She's already backed out of 2 other engagements before marrying me.

I met a young lady on a matrimonial website & we hit it off very well. She had a prior relationship 3 years ago that she ended & admits to feeling guilty about as she sorta "strung the guy along" and did not verbalize her concerns regarding their relationship that she felt wasn't everything she wanted. This young lady suggested to me that we need to meet in the early stages to assess if we should move forward with the relationship. I agreed & visited her last week after a month & a half of communicating & we had a great time...very relaxed, fun & open. We kissed & to describe the intensity of the passion, our tongues were on fire. She later told me that she felt something was missing & she wasn't feeling something but still wanted to give it a try with me. She wanted things to "flow freely without defining anything". I understand that she is in final semester of grad school and has a lot going on in her life...I am just wondering what she is feeling and what I should do...wait or go?

I have a friend who girlfriend just broke up with him and he bought her a 250 dollar ring and she says that she doesn't want to give it back but also doesn't want to take him back either. I would give it back to him but I want to know what u think? I think thats its wrong to not give it back to him b/c after all they agreed that if she broke it off that she would give the ring back but if he broke it off then she could keep the ring. I have lived with my boyfriend for 17 years. We have not had children and we are 43 years old. When we discuss marriage he says that he prefers to take it one day at a time and if the relationship works today then great. He says he comes home because he wants to not because he has to. I have also found out that he does sort of act like he is single because he will go to lunch with women friends of his (I don't think he knows that I know that). Is this right? Is this love?

Ok, my ex-boyfriend broke up with me because he has trust issues and we were going to be apart for a while. This was 5 months ago, he's deployed with a good friend of mine and he keeps telling her that we his deployment is over he wants to marry me. I haven't been in any relationships since then and I atill love him very much, but I wonder why he tells this to her and not to me. He emails me and calls me but he never talks about us getting married he only comments about us getting back together. Should I just move on or should I wait for him?

He was diagnosed with oesophagus cancer last year but recently we have been told that there is nothing more the doctors can do except make him comfortable.

Obviously, we would like to make this birthday special but we are stuck for ideas!

A party is out of the question as he tires easily and he struggles to keep down even liquidized food and he already has a star named after him!

I would be extremely grateful for any suggestions as to how we can show him how proud we are of him and how much he is loved by us all!

My ex of 8 mths broke up with me 1 mth ago. We reached a situation where that was probably for the best because she was adamant her unhapiness over the previous 1 mth was caused by our relationship. That coincided with her suffering from depression which I thought was causing her to be negative about us. She refused to accept this.

I decided to give her some space and haven't contacted her for 3 & a half weeks. We last spoke 2 days after the break up. She said that "it would be nice to see me when I'm ready" and we agreed to meet after a couple of weeks. I haven't contacted her & she hasn't contacted me.

I have been clear for a few weeks that I want to try & get her back. That is why I decided on no contact, to give her space. I am not sure when to contact her!?

I want to try & get her back but know if I push too much she will pull away.

I am thinking 3 or 4 meet ups over the next month where we just do stuff, no pressure, and seeing how things are??

Any thoughts people?
