One of my friends and i are very very close. I really really like him alot and i told him how i feel, and he said he loves me. He told me today that he is dating someone. I feel heartbroken and i don't know what to do, i really really like him and we are very close, but the thing is, how can he say that he loves me and go and date someone??? I feel like i'm never going to be good enough for any guy, i just wish someone who says they love me actually mean it. Is there anyone out there who can help me???? i don't know what to do, i want still be friends with him, and i'm glad that his happy but it hurts to see that he is dating someone, as i love him, please help : (

My son's father and I had a 7 year relationship. We have been apart for over 5 years and our son is going to be 9 this month. Then end of our relationship was very unpleasant and court was ugly. Anyhow, I have sole custody and my son's father was given supervised visitation only. Well, it has been almost 5 years and he has not exercised any visitation. In fact there has been no contact with my son or myself (outside of court) in 4 1/2 years. No phone calls, no letters, no e-mail, nothing. Is there away to severe his parental right? I'm not sure if that is the right term. I remarried a year ago and my son and I would love my husband to adopt him. We live in Maryland and the ex lives in New York. I was living in Maryland when our custody agreement was made effective.

It seems like the nicer a guy gets, the more girls pull away.

I have a close friend from class. She has 2 groups of friends: "homies" who are like brothers to her and "**** buddies". Why would she want guys who are so worthless? It can't be because of so many reasons that I hear.

We have noticed that we have a lot in common. She knows that I am somewhat "kinky" and she knows I can protect her from anyone or anything: I'm 5ft. 11in. tall, I weigh 227lbs., and I can bench-press 200lbs. Did I mention that I look like Russel Crowe in 'Gladiator'?

He got married in April 2002. From the second day of his marriage his wife start quarrel with him. For her sake he stay with her in her parental home bcauase tht lady don’t want to stay with his parents. After tht also she will not change her behaviour her way of behaving was same like bfore. She used to harassed him mentally. After three years he filled a divorce case against her. And that lady for taking revenge from his parents and from him she filed a dowry and maintenance case against him tht lady is not ready to give him divorce at any cost. Pls tell how do he get divorce from her. He filed divorce case two years bfore. He is from India

I am kind of emotional and really stupid person...I loved a girl couldn't propose her when I was near to her. After that I proposed her...through email.Girl even doesn't know me very well.I sent all the details...and all the possible proofs that I am not doing any fun with her...its almost one and half year gone...I wanted to meet her but she refused.

One day I called her..she was extremely angry to me...said me useless, most stupid person ever seen in life..and many more.
I know she is very right in her place....I deserve shouting....now she is sad I think she must be thinking why she shouted on me...blah blah.

Even I have true feelings for her..but all the problems created because of my stupidities..

Now any body can suggest me..how can I correct my mistakes and stupidities?
I know I am not cheating her...even I don't have expectation to be with her...but feeling uncomfortable when think about her problems.

Lately I just keep hearing/reading stuff about eyes, it just keeps popping up in a romantic connotation when a guy knows the colour of a girl's eyes. I never really thought about it before, but is that a big deal? What do you think it would mean if he DID know the colour of her eyes? Just wondering :)

I got out of a very bad relationship, praying for someone to truly love me and want to give me the world. I found him, but I feel no real passion for him. I don't need craziness or drama.. I know how unhealthy that is. I just am confused how if someone is exactly what I want and who I have prayed for, how can I not be attracted? He is what every woman would dream of... but not me. Everything is perfect but our intimacy. I avoid it. We are the best of friends, I know friendship is what makes relationships last but there has to be some sort of fire. Can you obtain fire? In all other relationships I have been very sexual. I just don't want to feel like the only way i feel stimulated is through unhealthy relationships. We have talked and he is patient and caring. I just want to love him and desire him the way he does me. I am scared that I would regret letting him go. He is so wonderful to me and I feel like there is something wrong with me!

Can somebody please give me a unique idea on what to do or get for my g/f of 8 years this Valentine's Day? I don't want the run-of-the-mill, stereotyping answer like "take her to a nice restaurant", or "buy her a diamond ring", etc. coz frankly, I'm REALLY on a budget. Girls, what's the simplest thing that your man can do (or get) for you that'll brighten up your love for him even more that night? I am in major need of help! I have been with the love of my life goin on year #8...engaged 1yr. He propose in sept of 2005. I wanted to get married in sept or dec 2006 but he said 2008. I said fine and now 2008 is next year and now he is saying 2009-2010. Im so fed up with this BS and i dont know what to do. i know we are only 21 but comm'on now we have been together forever! My sister has been married for just over 3 years now. Her husband is absolutely childish & it seems that my sister has now become a mother to him! He had a troubled childhood & I believe that he is verbally abusive to her. She has totally changed and never laughs anymore... They are not even intimate anymore! What happens to my sister, happens to my family because we love her! It looks obvious that they should get a divorce (no children), but are there any other solutions? He is not agreeing to marriage counselling :o(

My mom is an addict. To alcohol, and pretty much any drug she can get her hands on. Because of this, she has also turned into a compulsive liar. Tonight, I found out that she has stolen an entire bottle of oxycodone from me, that I didn't even know I had because she went and filled several prescriptions for me, after I had my wisdom tooth extraction. I would love SO much to turn her in, and teach her a lesson that she will hopefully never forget. The only thing I am worried about is my younger sister. Children's Aid has been involved with my family and I have been put into countless group homes throughout most of my childhood. I wouldn't wish this upon anyone, and for my sister, to me this is not an option. If I reported to the police that my mom has been stealing my prescriptions, will children's aid be notified? Also...I just finished having it out with her, yelled at her until I could no longer speak...but now that I am calm and collected, what could I say to get through to her?

Just somebody in college... an aquaintance, not exactly real friends... haven't said hi to him for a few months even when face to face with him because of some awkward stuff in school, but those akward things've been resolved now after a trouble maker dropped out of my college. I want to say hi now. Probably he doesn't care if I do, but it breaks my heart to give somebody the cold shoulder on purpose. Should I apologise to him for being unfriendly\rude or etc? Will he think that I'm daft or strange if I apologise? Any suggestion how to apologise? It will be strange if I suddenly start saying hi again won't it so I should apologise first? There is somebody who I have loved for years. We used to be best ffriends but something happened and our friendship ended and now he is in and out of my life.
