I've been dating my boyfriend for 4 months. We're in love, meaning he says he loves me and I love him. A couple weeks ago he told me that his ex had started dating again and that he was feeling jealous about that. They dated for 3 years, and he broke up with her shortly before meeting me. The catch is that she lives in MN and he's in VA here with me (his family is in MN, tho). He said he needed to see her over winter break to make sure he's not still in love with her, which I can understand as they dated for such a long time. For a while, I was concerned everyday; constantly asking him what he was feeling. However, I haven't mentioned anything for about a week, and everything seems to be great. We spend a lot of time together; we're happy, and he keeps saying how much he loves being around me. I'm still concerned tho, and I don't know if I should bring it up again. I can't go home with him because it's too far away. What should I do...mention anything? Should I worry?

my ex ended our relationship a couple of weeks ago due to "his doubts". i however did not believe him because to me that was a ridculous reason. i believed that it was because he wanted to explore his other options in college. while my mind is telling me he is wrong for me, my heart still longs for him, more than he will ever know. i confronted him with this theory and he denied it to a t. i also told him i thought he ended it because he wanted to control me and to have control in our relationship. he was less than enthused. i also told him that if he really loved me, he would tell me everything. he responded but not in the way i wanted him to. i want him to tell me the truth but i feel that he's convinced himself that doubt is what really ended it. it's funny. he wasn't the guy i thought he was. he's controling and manipulative and he just can't see it. advice?

It's complicated: Christina (aged 27, the girl I'm in love with, who is also married to my boss) is working in the same office as I am. We had a hidden but very romantic relationship, we are the best lovers ever and the best friends also. Usually he's really into me, but for some reason, when we were on the bus going home from school, he didn't talk at all!! The only thing he actually said was "Hey, um, Jess--never mind." I didn't think anything was wrong but my friend Sarah actually brought something to my attention even though she was just joking around..she said "Jessica, I think Jake's going to break up with you." So Jake's friend Jamie said, "Haha, yeah right. Where'd you hear that? You're just trying to make her nervous." So Sarah said "Why do you always have to ruin the fun?" I acted calm but I wasn't--after all, he had been kind of ignoring me. When we got off the bus, I waited for him as usual, but I was talking to a friend and he walked right past me, much more hurried than usual. He didn't talk to me when we were walking home, either. I seriously think something's up...maybe he's actually considering breaking up with me?

I personally think that if a person is going to be rude, then don't bother replying just so you can earn some points. I know alot of people like to ask questions merely for curiosity and people can just be so rude. I mean get a life and don't waste my time reading it. I know that there are people who like to follow questions around just to gain some points and I think that is pathetic. I mean haven't you heard the saying if you haven't anything nice to say, don't say anything at all?!

ok, i was goin out with this girl for about a year and three months she always told me she is really happy being in a serious relationship with me, then we had a fight three weeks ago she thought she was pregnant n wudnt talk to me she is not pregnant though it was a stupid fight, and she broke up with me 2 weeks ago, she said she doesnt want a relation ship anymore cause of the preassure, i havent really left her alone ive being calling her n stuff, and i know i shoulndnt do that cause that puts preassure on her and thats what she hates. its only been like 4 days since we didnt contact eachother, she said that she does still love me. do you think their is chance that she will come back if i give her space, and what do i do if i meet her on the street? do u think it might be too late? please help meadvice.

Both of them have stopped talking to me because of my new boyfriend, one claims she liked him first but she didn't, i did. the other is mad because she is mad. I read this composition book they were writing in and found out the real reason was not because of my boyfriend but she resented my out of jealousy and her OWN low self esteem. i want to fix this but i dont know how. should i comfort her about her insecurities or let her be childish and move on with my new boyfriend. i care about him alot and i'd rather have both my friends and my boyfriend but under the circumstances they dont deserve to be chosen over him. i just need to hear some feedback to help me deal with this.

When I met my husband, my mother in law took a dislike to me, she was very nasty with the things she said and did, and put me down to all her side of the family...

She made me depressed, I could not sleep, I was crying alot.....I seeked advice with a councillor who let me see things more clearly.....He told me it was her that was unhappy.........I am usually a strong character but she knocked me, I wasn't used to not getting along with people, when I had my baby she complained about everything I did, even though she was a perfectly behaved baby so there was nothing to get wrong....

Now I am strong again, I can't forgive her, I will go to family gatherings and exchange pleasantries but that is as much as I can do ..............Am I wrong??? She wants us to go away next year on holiday with her and the thought fills me with dread, I don't want to go........

Also I lost a baby and she told everyone I had done it on purpose etc

I met this girl and built up the courage to talk to her. Things went well and we had some coffee together. She asked for my number and I got hers. When I called for a date she said that she would love to hang out with me...but she said she had a boyfriend. I figured that it was cool and that I liked her company anyways. We went out for some food and then I showed her my place, we had a great evening, and her boyfriend never really came up in any conversation. She seems pretty interested in me, but she is just an awsome girl and I may be misinterprating her actions. in the early five months of our marriage (10 yrs now) we enjoyed a fantastic sexual life, my wife was much more uninhibited and playful in sex than me and let me experience unforgettable moments. After some problems my wife lost her special sexual attitude towards me. At the beginning I tried to talk about it with all my love but eventually I began to think that she didn’t like me anymore and to be jealous of her previous ‘lucky’lovers and I ended up making the big mistake to get angry, offending and being pretentious with her. From that moment on she got blocked with sex although she’s always been having normal (quickies in missionary position) intercourses with me.
I was sorry for what I did so my first concern for years was to make her happy , forgetting my needs, trying to be a loving husband and to make the most of what she could give to me but – despite my best efforts - our sexual relationship hasn’t improved over time and I can’t tell her anything.
I’ve never stopped to remember those 5 months at the beginning. How can I overcome all this?

I am trying to save my marriage. It's kind of strange and I don't know if there are men out there in my situation but I was raised up by a single mother who took a lot of her frustrations from my abusive father out on her, when they were married. Almost one year ago, right before I got married, she told me of the story of how I was born. She said the day she was about to give birth to me, my father almost beat her to death with an iron pole, she was covered in blood and had to escape from him to give birth to me. He smashed the windshield and tried to stop her from leaving and told her "you will not give birth to that child, you won't come back from that hospital alive." I was shocked when i heard the story. I even confirmed the story from my dad's brother. Even after she gave birth to me and moved back in with my father, he continued beatng her to the point she had to run away from home leaving me alone when i was a few weeks old. Growing up she took a lot of her bitterness out on me
