Understanding the concept "soulmate". Yahooooo... things really are made in heaven!

Yes, every single individual living on Mother Earth has a partner in hiding... a soul mate that would practically match hundred percent with one! This has been a saying by people falling in love now and always. But this is also the truth. God made the destiny of mankind like that.

Suppose I am a boy born at number 43.045230345 (on the scale of hundred) amongst the billions of people living on Mother Earth. Then in all eventualities there would be many girls born at number 43. Whether I get to love and marry the girl of my choice is purely dependent upon my destiny which is a controversial subject (one can always take control of ones destiny if we truly desire so)!

Now, how do I find all girls at number 43...? This is where we falter... the numbering system of God being hidden from mankind... it becomes difficult to find the soul mate matching our choice and results in divorces, the divorce rate being abnormally high.

In the present materialistic trend one weighs the other from his finances, the bank balance, looks and alike. In the domain of God if we really want to search our soul mate... it may be hidden in the ugly frog for God may have cast a spell on it and unable to recognize one we marry the wrong girl! This is the irony of fate of most people the world over.

Those who can hear the sweet small voice coming from their heart... the voice of our soul (atman in Hinduism) such truthful people sometimes are able to recognize their soul mate. And it is then we learn that a Mira Bai has been born. Mira Bai was a faithful follower and lover of Lord Krishna even though Lord Krishna was married and had a wife.

The love of Mira Bai for Lord Krishna was unparalleled. It was much above the physical inhibitions expressed nowadays. For Mira Bai... sex had no role to play in the love she had for Lord Krishna. This is what pure love is all about! More on soul mate here- http://www.godrealized.org/truce_with_my_inner_self.html

I thought I found my soulmate until I started re-dating an older guy. Now he is soo into me and I swear I dont know what to do. My boyfriend will be home in July, but I'm afraid that by then I will be in love with the older guy and things are really going to be bad! If you have any advice for me please give it because you have some experience in this soul mate thing.

I have DEFINETLY found my soul mate, and I have been with him for 12 years. We were meant to be together, and we will be together forever. I am glad that you have found yours, and what luck that you have 2.....I am positive that I only have one.
I hope that the one you lost was not due to tragedy, but if it was.....my sympathy goes out to you. My best friend lost her soul mate to a tragic accident, and she has never been the same since! Have a great life with your soul mate.
My life s put on hold while my soul mate is in Iraq.

~Is there a difference between a soulmate and the love of your life? I think they're the same, and you only get one in your lifetime.
I found him, married him and we divorced for not so complicated reasons.~

Thats not right. "Soul Mate" is a hippy term coined by Richard Bach (author of Jonathan Livingston Seagull) in his book "Always". The idea is reincarnation meets soul marriage. You only get one soul mate and run into them every lifetime.

Two soul-mates means you either dont know where the phrase came from, or are using it incorrectly.

Hey "tom a" --- of course there's more than one soul mate for everyone. Unfortunately it takes the loss of one to have you search for the other. Second one may be more difficult to find ......

I have found and lost one as well ..... searching for next .... know he's out there

The closest thing I have to a soulmate is my gay best friend. We'd be perfect for each other if he were straight. We love to flirt with each other in public just to confuse people.

not sure but I think I ran her off when i discovered she had lots of baggage well she had been married 7 times in 20 years, had a problem telling the truth, and drinking to much, then I found out she was after gold-but otherwise she was absolutely the perfect one beautiful to extent Ive not seen anyone since her nor anyone since her who could stand in her shadow, she was passionate, sensual beyond belief, intelligent, articulate, creative,a good conversationalist, and more.
Maybe after all these years of abstinence Ill yet find someone similar yet better.
Maybe not.

I very much love my man and plan to be with him forever, but the one I would call my soulmate i lost. Mostly beacause of a misunderstanding.

Now I feel sad:(
