I've been dating this guy for two months. I'm busy with graduate school so we've only been out twice. In spite of that, we've maintained contact.

In the beginning, he used to call/text me all the time. However, I noticed he cooled down considerably after our first date. I think it's because I said "maybe" when he asked if we were going out again. That night he called me to make sure we were going out again and I said "sure, why do you ask?" He said that it was because I said "maybe". It wasn't until then that I realized that I might have hurt his feelings.

We've tried to arrange second dates; however, I've had to cancel on him. Some people say that if you really like someone you'll make time for them. However, just because I'm busy, doesn't mean that I don't really like him!

On Friday, we finally went out on our second date. We had a great time! I sent him a text on Monday and left a message for him on Tuesday - both of which he has yet to respond to.

I'm Brazilan (as one can see) living in Brazil and I tell you that it is very rare finding here around people of different gender which are close friends.

In your culture (European, first world, Christian, modern days) today, is that common/possible?

Let me tell you that here in Br we, generally speaking, see a man (when he has girl close friends) as to be gay, you know. That's too bad, I know that! Or when there is a case such this, one is interested in the other lovingly...

my bf and i have been together for 2 yrs and last week i broke up with him, we break up alot because we always argue but this time im so fed up.. ilove him alot i changed some of my ways and gave him everything i could. My wife is in her 40's and i'm in my late 30's. the problem being she has had 3 kids from a previous marriage and has been fixed. I yurn to have a child ( the whole making it happen thing with my sperm) watching the baby grow etc, but have been deprived of this and she knows it. I think the courts in the States should make a stand for equality and award Kevin Federline Half of everything Britney Spears owns and will earn over the next 10 years. This is what would happen if the sexes were reversed. Why should equality of the sexes only be shouted by women when it suits them.
