Unfortunately, in todays world, the quality of mercy is very strained. One gets the justice one can afford, the people who lost their christmas money, are owed their christmas money, still, by the people who obviously still have it. yes ,I am sure a few very expensive lawyers could put a shot across the boughs of the guilty parties there, but if you are simply joe bloggs, british, whose sons and daughters are nurses and soldiers, then , sorry, you cannot afford macartney type justice, as for the 60 mil , no comment

Paul McCartney is a tight-wad who wouldn't give you the drippings from the end of his nose! It's a shame he can't be like Cher who's just donated a fortune to an orphanage saying "It's a lot of money to those children but it's nothing to me!!" Awesome! And no, I don't think Paul's missis should get half his money!! She should be grateful she gets anything!

If you give it to the people that have lost their Christmas money, what about the people who never had any Christmas money to begin with? OK so these people have lost their Christmas savings, but they still have a roof over their head on Christmas day, they still have their families around them. What about homeless people at Christmas time or people living on the poverty lines? You don't see the retail industry being badgered daily to give them some money.

You should be asking yourself why the high street bank HBOS Halifax / Bank Of Scotland were giving £2 million when they made £35 million from this disaster
Good news is that they now have more money for their singing adverts that are now cartoons because their staff asked for royalty payments - bah humbug
the good news is the all their staff are allowed to wear a mask as they audition for highwaymen at this years Xmas Panto
HBOS - Heartless Bank Of Scrooge

If you were really Paul McCartney you wouldn't. He's very tight with the purse strings you know.

As sympathetic as i am to the families that have lost out to farepak, I think that if he was going to donate £60million pounds he should spend it on humanitarian projects in the third world. That sort of money could save thousands of people from death.

I agree, Sir Paul ought, but he will give naught, for I think he above the misery of the masses. As one poster said, Paul would say "all you need is love."
