I am a single dad and hope to find a special woman. I don't do the bar scene, and am just looking to find someone who is career oriented, stable(financially and emotionally) and not looking to play games or for a free ride. Where should I go? Clubs? Museums? $500 a plate dinners at the Republican convention?

i understand the committment of marriage, because i am married for 2 years now, and have no plans of cheating or leaving. I was wondering if anyone regrets getting married because of what they gave up -- some independence, all the "firsts" of a new relationship, and sleeping with the same person for the rest of your life?

I am completely satisfied with my wife and she is a really good wife. but recently i have felt in love with a very beautiful girl who is single and 5 years younger than me.living far from that girl is making me mad.I am 25 years old,my wife is 24 years old and the girl is 20 years old. How do you walk away from someone who you do care about but you know its not going anywhere. Its been 2yrs and I still don't know if we are a couple. He told me that he don't believe in labels. I don't let him sleep over like he was during in the beginning but he still like coming over my place. I tried to stay away from him but he calls and I get sucked back in. How do you walk away from person when you care about him?

My ex broke up with me a few months ago and we really don't talk to much anymore. We only text every now and then. My younger brother and his (my ex's ) younger sister go to the same school together and are kinda friends. One day they were talking and my ex's sister brought up my ex and I. She asked if we still talked and are friends.she also said that she misses seeing me around. and She also said that my ex has a new girlfriend. Why would she make an effort to tell my younger brother that he has a new girlfriend? And yet some of his friends say he isn't dating anyone. What does this all mean?

Ever since my daughter was born I've had these horrible memories of my childhood come back. My mother hitting us with leather belts, rods, anything she thought would hurt most. She even beat me in public once. She left handprints, welts, bruises, and marks. She was quick to hit, and she couldn't control her temper.
My mother no longer hits us as we are adults now and she hasn't been mean for a while. She's actually nice at times. I can get along with her for short periods of time, but I secretly resent her. I almost never call her and only see her once every few months.
I know only good parenting from mature educated adults can raise responsible children. I look at my daughter and can't imagine hurting her. I don't want my mother's immature parenting tactics to be used on my daughter as well. I only let her see my baby with other family around to "watch her"
How do I tell her that I don't want her alone with my baby without hurting her feelings or causing a fight?

I posted a question about the boyfriend already, and now to his daughter....she is....4.....she is a really adorable child, when she doesn't spit!.....I am very sweet to this girl, she is actually really smart. I try to do nice things for her, and try to be there for her, but when I do something nice...she will spit or bite me....my boyfriend doesn't whoop her, he talks to her...but she isn't understanding it is wrong. I usually sit her down with colors, scissors, and paper and just let her cut, and also learn. The last time we did this, she cut a chunk of my hair out and said 'momma said to cut your hair'...what do I do??

I started dating somebody in January and we went out for about three months. It was cool until he all of a sudden was sent to boarding school (he's about a year and a half younger than me...). Over the summer I moved away and he recently came home from boarding school. We are now about 3,000 miles apart but he calls all the time saying he realized that he loves me. I was a bit taken aback but decided to try to continue a relationship with him since I will probably be back for a visit once in a while and we talk every night. Recently some of his friends have told me that he goes out with this girl he's been friends with for a while and that they're always "all over each other". Yet he's still calling me saying, "I love you, come back for a visit." When I found this out I stopped answering his phone calls because I don't know what to say. I know I shouldn't be upset because it probably wouldn't have worked out anyway. Might not be true. How should I ask about it without sounding jealous?

was seeing ths guy and one day I text messaged him about my earrings, and then left him a voicemail explaining that i needed to know if they were at his house,because i was wearing them to go out, he text messaged me five minutes later and told me not to call him anymore, because he did not like me and that he would tell my sorority sisters about our relationship...and he would tell other people as well, and that I should know that he has a girlfriend and she is a member of my sorority(keep in mind that i did not know he had a girl,so the next day I get a call(from his best friend) who is also one of my sorority sisters calls me and invites me to an event that he was hosting? And I 'm like this is weird, because she has never called me..So What do you think was the cause of his/her behavior? do you think she knows something, or maybe he told her something,?Or was it a coincidence that she calls me asks me to go out with her after I ahdn't heard from her in over eight months?

Theres this guy im interested in knowing more about, he sits next to me in class and he's been asking me questions about math everyday.
I dont know whats up with him, i know he talks to everyone and that his talking to me wont mean anything
but on his notes he wrote my name really big in fancy letters.. he doodles a lot i notice.. but writing my name?
its funny because we only talk in class and he only seems to be interested in asking me things about class... most of the time...

So I'm 21 yrs old, I have a GED and some college. My mother has completely lost all touch with reality, my father lives on the other side of the country and is in poor health. I have no money, no car, a shitty paying job and live with my sister. My sister wants me out of the house becuase I' always depressed and never want to spend time with her. I need to leave by the end of this month... any suggestions on where I should go? what I should try? Moving is not an issue with me becuase I adjust well in new enviorments.... no matter where I go I will survive... but I just dont know whwere to go....... I was thinking somewhere south?

Please no lectures of any kind, I am in fact not a loser. I have little but was born into nothing. I'm just looking for some ideas and tips on how to decide my next move.

Although I am old enough to do so (23), I'd hate to go behind my parents back and seek birth control from my physician. My parents do not know I am sexually active (by sexually active, I mean with my boyfriend). Is there a way I can get on birth control by using the family physician without parents knowning or do you think it's more confidential to seek another physcian? I am financially capable of paying for birth control, but still remain on my parent's health insurance plan. Is there a way this would pop up sometime? I just need help, and please spare me the "you're not ready for sex" nonsense! Thanks :)

My aunt in laws niece(aunt-in-laws sisters daughter). Known her for quite some time now but I recently just moved closer to where she lives. My uncle and aunt in law have kids that are her cousins and they are also my cousins. Shes by far one of the coolest people I know but is friendship as far as I can go before things become too weird? My boyfriend and I have been dating only for a few months, he is 25, recently divorced and also has a daughter. He has had issues with his ex-wife, they argue alot.
