Not all students finish their tests at the same time. Some finish earlier than others. I'm looking for more ideas that I can use for those students who finish early so they don't disturb the rest of the class that is still working. I teach high school mathematics. Sometimes I have extra credit worksheets that they can do or I have a library of books that I let them borrow and read. What are some other ideas that will keep them quiet and occupied while the rest of the class finishes their tests?

Hi before I ask anything I am going to ask that those of you looking at this please don't make fun of me, this is a serious question and I need some help. It is one of my teacher's birthdays and I want to make it really special for her, she has done a lot for me (helped me with college and other issues) and I just want this to be nice for her more then anything, so I am wondering if anyone knows how to make it a perfect day for her? I would just write her a really nice birthday card thanking her and telling her how much I appreciate everything she has done for me but I do that on a regular basis to make sure she knows how much I appreciate it so I need something more then that. Any suggestions would be nice. Thank you

I want to start a course in learning English. I'm confuse because I want to teach young children and not adults. But know what course do I have to choose because there is TEFL&CELTA? What big difference is there between this two?TEFL=Teaching English as a Foreign Language CELTA=certificate and teaching English to adults. So if understand right CELTA is for teaching English to adults but all the info I read they said there is no difference between this two?

Right now I am a student teacher. I obviously am starting to think of where I want to teach for this coming school year, but I do not know when a good time to start applying would be. I live in Pensacola, Florida and want to move to Clearwater or Sarasota.

I am not a teacher but a college graduate currently earning my masteral degree (working at the same time). Just recently, I found myself interested with children and I realized I could make use of what God has given me to reach out to unfortunate children in far flung areas. I always see teachers on TV who earns 900 a month or even less, teaching tribes/less fortunate children and I somehow felt ashamed of myself. I am planning to study Elem. Education in June but additional information like NGOs would certainly help. Thanks

What should you do if a teacher reads aloud a student's grades to the entire class, and than claims the student's work is a bad example?
There is a teacher at my daughter's school who does this all the time! Not just with my daughter's grades but with other student's grades as well. Any suggestions as to how to handle this?
