Hi before I ask anything I am going to ask that those of you looking at this please don't make fun of me, this is a serious question and I need some help. It is one of my teacher's birthdays and I want to make it really special for her, she has done a lot for me (helped me with college and other issues) and I just want this to be nice for her more then anything, so I am wondering if anyone knows how to make it a perfect day for her? Thank you

It sounds like you really want to express your gratitude, but take it easy and don't go overboard. Your teacher sounds like a really kind person, and I am sure she gets a lot of "thank you's", so keep it simple with a small gift: flowers or a gift cert. to a restaurant.
A very caring gesture is to donate some money in her name to a charity that you know she is interested in, like an environmental, cancer or children's educational cause (think UNICEF.) If your teacher really is as generous as you say she is, this would probably make her day, and show her that she has done a good job of guiding you, her student, to also be generous.

Sit down right now and write her a thank you note. Make it sincere, tell her what you just asked all of us. Tell her she has changed your life for the better. The rest is all good stuff, too. Everyone loves birthday parties, but I think a real thank you note will be real special.

PS: check the spelling and grammar on the note, if you really want to thank her.

Just write this stuff down in a birthday card that also says thank you. The teacher will treasure it.

Get alot of people to sing happy birthday to her. Have a cake, and maybe a few presents.

I would get her a gift certificate to a spa. Maybe she would enjoy a nice massage to relieve her stress, or a nice facial. It depends on what you think she would enjoy.

Offer to help her after class or after school, whether it be cleaning up, organizing, whatever... I'm sure she'll appreciate it..
