originally we were going to study mountains and mountain climbing so we were going to go rock climbing, but now we're reading "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" by Jules Verne. we thought of riding a submarine, but there are no good ones in the are. Aquarium,s are too boring. this doe not have to be educational. NYC NJ area, please.

You can visit the nautilus.

The first nuclear submarine, the nautilus is in the groton/new london area of connecticut, not too far from new york.

What could be more appropriate! there's also a working submarine base, and although the navy won't let you ride on them, they may let you see one, or talk to actual submariners.

scuba lessons may be a good option. glass bottom boats can be fun too. You could always go water skiing or para-sailing
