I am trying to get information about other schools that are or might have been debating on whether or not boys and girls should be taught separatley?

There are several schools in the US that are experimenting with single-sex classes. I'm not sure where they are, I think some of the larger cities, in more urban areas where schools are pretty desperate to find anything that works. There have also been some books published on this issue recently, and there have been plenty of articles in education journals about it.

I am aware that research has been done on this issue. I do not believe that any school in our area is considering making the change to single gender classes.

There is one school (jr high) in our area that I know is doing this and I have heard that others are considering this as well. I don't approve of this method. These kids need to learn to exist side by side, not in separate classrooms.
