A good education system is fundamental to a nation that wants to be economically and otherwise independent. In my view, India still has a long way to go to reach this goal.

As a student, I’ve seen many improvements in our school curriculum.Through the years, I have seen the National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT) try to provide "balanced textbooks" and helpful supplementary texts. Yet problems like emphasis on memorizing certain paragraphs from books and evaluation on the basis of "bookish knowledge" still persist.

These dilemmas need to be amended with the help of educators, parents, and teachers. What can be done to alleviate the crisis?

Please serious answers only, I am a college student looking for serious answers. Thanks so much!!

I am getting close to finishing up on my Elementray Education Degree in Kansas, and in Kansas I will be certified K-6. My question is, in other states, (especially Oklahoma) will it also be K-6? I've talked to a couple of Admin at Oklahoma schools, and they really aren't sure. I am wondering because I am planning on moving back to Oklahoma after school. Thanks so much!! I appreciate any help.
***I've looked on the states website, I can't find that information anywhere. I have also googled, and asked and every other search engine to try and find out.

I am a Senior Elementary Education major with just student teaching left, but my advisor and another professor told me that I am not able/passable as a student teacher because of my Learning disabilities, & ADHD. They suggest changing majors now! All I want to do is just graduate I know I can do it with modifications and some extra help. I would like to know what type of modifications they are allowed to give me for my student teaching? Also, is a person allowed to student teach in a non-standard style of school, like a Montessori school? Also can you student teach in a resource class? I live in IL. Advise me what to do please!

Thanks

Teaching is something that I truly enjoy doing, but I just want to try something different. I tried changing grade levels by moving from 4th to 8th grade. I like 8th grade better, but I just want to work outside of the classroom for a while. Not to mention, the pay is not that great either...especially considering all that I am required to do. Can anybody help?!?!?
