I teach elementary music k-5. I'm looking for a good routine to follow for each class. something like first five minutes-warm-up, next old song, new song, rhythm. Just something that I can follow, will make the classes more structured, and will help me organize my lesson plans.

On the secondary level, I think that English teachers work the most hours (due to all of the essays and papers that they have to grade) versus any other type of public secondary school teacher. Who agrees? What type of teacher works the least amount of hours? Why don't they pay English teachers more than say, a P.E. teacher?

he just doesn't seem like the winking type either! but whenever i go into the classroom, he just smiles and winks. what makes it worse is that he's really attractive, maybe 26 or 27 years old, and he used to play pro soccer before he hurt his ankle. i always smile back, because i guess it's just the polite thing to do. is that bad? would that be considered flirting? idk what to do. i'm a freshman in highschool, and i guess i'd be considered the "hot quiet girl" stereotype. to be completely honest.

It's not that I'm not a good teacher - all of my mentors have been really impressed with the way I've progressed - it's just that I feel the job is sapping all of my joy. I'm training to teach secondary English. I thought that I'd be teaching kids to love books but it seems that my job is more crowd control and literacy. I'm just so tired all the time and the thought of going back makes me feel ill. I don't hate teaching - I enjoyed my first placement, and although I was aware that there was loads of crap to go with it, I did like the actual lessons. Now though, it just seems to bleak and I don't want to go back at all.

Is this normal? Should I carry on? Did anyone else feel like this> Please give me some advice.
Cheers!

We should not respond to Imperialism ,it is the root cause for terrorisim.India as a secular Nation should not allow fundamentalism to grow on either side whether it is Islam or Hindutva. A clear and a impartial ,but strong and sound policy towards terrorisim can solve it.

I'm thinking of starting a tutoring business for some kids in my neighborhood but I don't know how much to charge per hour. What is a reasonable rate? I was thinking of $10 per hour for twice a week or so, but I've never done this before. Any tips/advice? Also, do you think anyone would hire a smart 8th grader with a 4.0 GPA or would they want a pro tutor?

I was always told when I was young that I was going to make a great teacher but I decided to do something else. I have an associates degree in arts - graphic design and I'm currently getting my BS in Business Administration. I currently work for a well know prestigious lending institution BUT I don't like the corporate politics and I feel that my personality doesn't mesh well in the corporate. I will graduate next year and I've been thinking about teaching. I know it politics involved with everything that you do but I want to do something that makes me feel good and that I'm helping someone. Also, I'm very tired of Corporate America. So is this a wrong reason to wanting to teach?
