Hi before I ask anything I am going to ask that those of you looking at this please don't make fun of me, this is a serious question and I need some help. It is one of my teacher's birthdays and I want to make it really special for her, she has done a lot for me (helped me with college and other issues) and I just want this to be nice for her more then anything, so I am wondering if anyone knows how to make it a perfect day for her? I would just write her a really nice birthday card thanking her and telling her how much I appreciate everything she has done for me but I do that on a regular basis to make sure she knows how much I appreciate it so I need something more then that. Any suggestions would be nice. Thank you

Bake cupcakes for the whole class. I had a student do that for me one year and I still remember her name. After having taught well over 1,000 students there are only a few that stand out.

I have also had kids give me little gifts, and while it was thoughtful and made me feel special, it was the cupcakes that meant the most. This is because I know that she put a lot of effort into it and tried hard to make it a surprise.

Another thing that one of my fellow teachers did for me was decorate my room in streamers (when I turned 30). If she has a good teacher friend that could help you then maybe you could get there early and you and the other adult can decorate the room before she gets there.

Also, if you can get a card passed all the way around the room without her knowing and have all of the kids sign it then she will treasure it. I have kept every card that I have ever gotten like that.

ok its the 2nd time i write this coz i had a bad connection

i really like the idea
since we all should do something to show our teachers that we appriciate the
and they deserve it
...................
no i'm still in highschool
and we did the same to 2 of our teachers(but each separately)
since they are the best
we collected money from each others
and bought a cake
4 of us stayed outside class
and then the teacher entered thinking we were abscent
then she prepared herself
then we entered and surprised her
it was the best
actually she was in shock
................
but since in ur case u cant do the same
i suggest that if she is still teaching
u plan for this with her class
and surprise her
OR
u can talk with ur old classmates
to gather urself and go make her a visit
surpising her with a party- its like taking the party with u
but call her first
------u can also do it a day before or after her real birthday
so she wouldn't be suspicious about what u are planning to do
.....let the party be simple so u wouldnt have to spend a lot of money
................
good luck
i promise i'l edit if i come up with something new
=)

Howdy,
I have just had a similar problem tongith with my patents 40th wedding anniversary gift... all i did was go to google and type in the query.. 40th wedding anniversary tradition. Maybe, you could do a similar search for the month of your teachers birthday!!!... There are many gifts that can touch the heart of your friends... for examply.. there may be a gem or icon of some sort that has meaning for her..eg.. rose quartz/dandelion... there are many sites for inspirational thought on the web, maybe you only need to let your mind wander and search words or phrases that mean somethin to you!!.
All I did, was type into google "40th wedding anniversary gifts" and i found many sites that could be of use..
I hope this helps you.
All the best
Amanda

A really nice card with a little message inside would be enough. Don't go too far overboard or else it'll get a bit creepy for her, and may come off as if you're in love with her - tread careful, stay to the thank for all the help , don't get soppy, she's yer teacher not yor lover.

Bake her cookies or a small cake. In fact, anything homemade she will love. That's very nice of you to want to give her something, very kind of you. But keep it cheap and simple and she will love it! Good luck baking.
