We just found out that the school has been "rezoned" and my children will have to go to a different school next year. They are in grade 2 and k this year. Them going to this school is not an option. Very bad for violence . So we have 2 option for us. Option 1: We have found a house that would keep them at the same school they are at now, my 2nd grader is not doing the best at this school because of the way the school is set up. It does not have classrooms. It is a large open area the has 4 ft dividers between the rooms. My daughter has a small issue with ADD so this is hard for her. I have had 2 doctors tell me that this is not the right enviroment for her. My other daughter is doing VERY well here and in advance placement classes and does not deal well with change. OPTION 2: An apartment that will make them change schools. It is an elementary school that has classrooms like my oldest one needs. My youngest gets very upset by any type of change. They have to stay together.HELP

They are trying to pass a law about school uniforms at the public schools in my city...I think it is ridiculous! I am not a kid - I have a daughter in 4th grade and a son who is a freshman in high school. I realize that they need to have guidelines about what the children are wearing at school but, uniforms?? Especially in high school...I think what they were is a part of thier personality and individuality. Plus I think it will make it even harder on the parents...shopping for the children's clothes would involve creating two wardrobes instead of one. What is your opinion on this? I say "NAY"!

I missed auditions to get into Denver School of the Arts because we were in the process of moving from California to Denver during them. What can I say in an e-mail to get them to consider letting me register at the school?

Hi, i'm in high school and i'm planning to go into the medical field. I'm quite unsure if i want ot be a nurse or a doctor but I need to be in the medical field. I feel destined to do so even though my family continues to tell me that I'll never be cut out for it and I'd do better as a buisness woman. But I'm not interested in selling people material objects. I am interested in becoming a nurse or doctor though. I know that money is going to be a big problem but I know that I can make it. So, I was wondering what high school classes and other activities that I should partake in to prepare me for college and then maybe medical school?

Ok so my teacher is a 25 yr old witha boyfriend and stuff, right. Well, she is the worst and utter most meanest teacher in the whole 5th grade!!!. Ok so me and two friends wanted to sit together well its true we talk a lot but we are seriously when the teacher is talking. Well, we were going to be a group of 3 for desks and stuff and that was final!. She put a kid mentally challenged kid in our group( which is fine but kind of rude because we wanted to be the group of 3) knowing one of my friends doesn't like him because he feels sexually attracted to her. Well, at lunch i said to my friends that our desks will prbably be moved on monday. They were moved right after lunch what is her deal!!!!. Also, she was yelling at me for coming into the classroom looking at grumpy. I am the happiest kid in school i am popular in a good way everyone likes me what the jez. And she says my attitude has been chaning. What do i do to get her butt away from me and stand up for myself?

I am not talking about uniforms, but simply standardized dress. Having an actual dress code that is strictly adhered to. What is your opinion and why do you feel that way?

I know that gettting the actual position is case by case, and depends on the grades of those that you're up against, but what kind of average normally at least puts you in the running?

I am a sophmore trying to figure out what I want to do with my schedule for the next two years. I am in our school's pre-IB program (you can take AP or IB). I want to be a high school science teacher or a psychologist for kids with learning disablities. I am ADHD (which is deff not an excuse but it is something to pay attention to).

Basicly, I really want to take the Chemistry IB and Physics IB, but the way our school has the schedule set up, if you do chemisty you must do English and History. English is my weakest class. Plus exams aren't my thing, I would have had an A in english 3, but I failed the exam and got a B. So write no I am taking the IB certificate. I have Physics, Chem, Eng, and HIstory. And my other classes are Pre Cal hand-ons on history (physcology or spanish 4 if I can't get the hist). Some people are saying I should just go ahead and do the full IB, adding the spanish 4 and 5 IB and Math Studies to my schedule. Do you agree with that? Should I just do AP & honors?

Not the AP class, but regular US history. I wanna know which textbook do they use. Best to know if annyone knows which one they used in 2005. But the most update one is fine too. I was graduate from there.

The lottery states that 27% of the earning go towards to public education. I haven't heard about private education. Private edcuation is still education regardless and some proceeds, I believe, should be distributed to private schools as well.

We go to school, then to work, then we're too old to do anything fun! We never have an oppurtunity to do anything fun, because of school. Work and school take up too much time.
