I am a recent college graduate and my education has changed the way I see myself. When I look in the mirror now it is as if I am looking out of a window. I see a whole world full of possibilities that stretches on forever and has no limits. Before, when I was taking a break from college and working as a cashier and earning just over minimum wage, I would look in the mirror and see an overweight fat guy with a five-o-clock shadow staring back at me. Sometimes he would wink and say, "Hey, baby! Wanna get jiggy?"
(I actually used a simile because I had the words "like" and/or "as" in there. Sorry.)

My schooling at the boarding school was a mirror - I learnd that I am self suficient to a fault.
Boarding school training gave me the skills to be a seamstress and opened the window for me to sew my children's clothes, saviong me money.
