I missed auditions to get into Denver School of the Arts because we were in the process of moving from California to Denver during them. What can I say in an e-mail to get them to consider letting me register at the school?

REnate: oops! Sorry. I skipped over a few typos. lol I guess when I go to send an e-mail, I'll have to use spell check. :P

Part of it, however, was their fault. They didn't e-mail me with my audition time until about three days ahead of time. I was in Orange County at the time, moving right then on top of it all (they knew this). There was no way I could have gotten a plane ticket that quickly, nor could I just get up and go on such short notice while we were boxing up everything.

First you can check your spelling. Then you can just tell them what happened that made you miss the auditions. Maybe they have a spot to fill because someone dropped out or could not go.

Probably nothing, no matter what your excuse is for missing the auditions they'll look at it as a lack of commitment or motivation on your part... they'll says "if she really wanted to go to this school she would have made these auditions"...

Unfortunately with theater schools you have to make the deadline set. When schools of this caliber set deadlines it's up to you to make them. You're going to have to wait for the next audition date and deadline because sounds like this school admits and auditions people once a year.

Who comes to a decision what's blasphemy? The music makes use of Christian references very virtually casually, and that constitutes blasphemy for many. The lyrics are so densely complete of references that have multiple meanings that McLean could no longer have been doing something casual in it. The 'Father, Son and Holy Ghost' are the '3 adult males i admire maximum', which argues against a private (to McLean) counter-Christian examining yet does *enable* for the translation that it references society's circulation faraway from conventional faith. a query right here is how lots the music is specifically related to the 60s counter-subculture and how lots of that's approximately adjustments in society normally. yet i think of this is extra of a passing remark in the music. My impact is that if McLean could probable imbed better than one meaning/reference in a word or line, he did. i think of the *usual* use of religious imagery is the passing of the experience of actuality and ease (america of apple pies) by way of fact the counter-subculture era misplaced the desire that they could be waiting to hold forth considerable and significant substitute. for many teenagers, music had replaced faith by way of fact the flexibility wherein social values have been stated and transmitted, even with the undeniable fact that it hadn't succeeded in bringing related to the was hoping for utopia. The musicians (and in keeping with risk political figures (Kennedy, King and Kennedy) who have been exhibiting the beneficial way forward had died, offered out or broken up - Dylan went electric, then stopped traveling after an twist of fate, then refused to jot down protest songs; the Beatles ("All you prefer is Love") disbanded and the Stones ("Sympathy for the devil") grew to become the main influential working band, the features of the Civil Rights circulation have been overshadowed by using race riots in numerous cities in the process the summer time of 'sixty seven, while Haight-Asbury became heaving with the "summer time of affection". examine verse 6 with that final in concepts. Neither music nor faith had a answer for the continued social problems.
