How come? While I admire those who do obtain a ged, it's usually because they were unable to complete school, or they made mistakes when they were young. Why would you want to deprive yourself of an education if it's available? Unless you're special in some way or gifted in a business sense or willing to spend years working your way up, chances are you will have to settle for minimum wage, or a factory job - which is fine, and some pay quite well; but let's face it, it's very hard tedious work in a factory. And you don't exactly have age and experience going for you to get that high-paying factory job. Please reconsider!
Zack, you make a very good point. And a lot of good answers here.
ps. what from somebody tells me, can't vouch for how true it is, but they live there. As long as you are under your parents' roof and not 18, there's not much you can do about it without their consent.

Running away from a problem never solves it. Whatever is happening, do not drop out of school. Your education is extremely important. It IS your way out of whatever situation you find yourself in. The more educated you are, the more shots you get to call. Something is wrong here. Don't let it ruin your life. Stay in school, tough it out. Talk to a counselor and tell them everything that going on. These people are far more understanding and compassionate than you know, they can help. Do that before you live a life of minimum wage deadend jobs and meager health care. Good luck to you.

If you do not stay in school and graduate with the rest of your class you will always regret it. You will miss out an important phase of your life. And everyone remembers the day they graduated, you do not want to lose out on having that memory with you for the rest of your life. Before you know it, high school will be over, finish high school, and you will be so happy that you did it.

You'll eventually regret dropping out of school. There's far too much for you yet to learn. People with college educations statistically earn at $50,000 more than those who have dropped out of school.

16yrs old. But gosh!! your probably at least in the tenth grade maybe eleventh grade. Why drop out now. Even when looking for a job, they especially like people who can finish task and work on their own without much supervision. I hope you consider staying in school.

I don't know for N carolina, but in MA the age is 16
Don't do it though, get at least a highschool diploma, I mean it will impact what kind of jobs you will be able to get, and what kind of life you will be able to have. I really don't advice it
it might just ruin your life.

Please tell me that you are joking??? School is not that damn hard. Just stick it out and finish. If you were my kid...I'd beat the hell out of you. My 4 year old daughter knows when she is going to graduate college. 2018. GED's are are fer less important than graduating.
