It's hard because most students don't want to put out the effort needed to succeed. It is hard to prepare you for your future. It takes away your "play" time because you need to study -- If I were you, I spend more time on spelling or learn how to use the spell check.

There are a number of factors. It may depend of the individual. Some people are better at certain classes than others. High school is a breeze for some, and a challenge for others. But the classes you are taking might also play a role. You may be taking several difficult courses at the same time. You may have some semesters with heavy workloads. Another reason high school is difficult, is to better prepare you for college. College is challenging for many. Imagine if you hardly had to do anything throughout high school. You would have even a harder time in college!

I teach at the college level but I will attempt to answer. High school is difficult because of the pacing and content. In contrast to grade school, high schoolers are required to do more work and work more independently.

Also, I hear the same question at the college level from recent high school grads. Why is college so hard? Students just need to take a breath and adjust to the challenges of the next level of education, be it high school, college, or grad school.

You only percieve it to be hard because that is the challenge that you face at the moment. Many other things in life are just as hard and some day you may look back at school and wonder why you thought it was so bad. You just do the best you can at the time and before you know it school will be finished and you will face other challenges.

It is as hard as you make it out to be. If you are having problems in any subject, ask the teacher if he/she has free time to assist you - thats how I passed Spanish!

b/c it is designed to prepare us for the real world...
CROSS THAT

that's the BS they shove down our throats to keep us complacent.

the real answer is that from generation to generation there have been the sorry few educators who themselves felt the need to take out their frustration on kids of a younger generation.

hope this was helpful...
