I'm in the 9th grade. In fourth grade our teachers considered a fruit roll up a heathly snack. But starting in the sixth grade we couldn't bring anything dried or packaged. I got in trouble once for bringing raisins! They can't bring crackers because of the salt, celery with peanut butter, or carrots with dip. No juice boxes or fruit cups becase of the added sugar. Only fresh cut fruits and vegetables which cost a fortune in the winter. Some schools don't allow anything skicky because it might get on their paper work...which crosses out almost all fruit. YET they continue to serve the kids brownies, sugar cookies, and pizza with puddles of grease at lunch. Does anyone else think this new snack policy is a bit too much?

At my old school they didn't allow dodge-ball......unless you rolled the balls which made the game pointless and boring...at some schools kids have to wear helmets on the swings... and the game of tag has been banned at some schools. And this could be only the beginning. Do you think they're starting to take the fun out of recess?

I have always encouraged my children to have a healthy balanced diet, we hardly have chips and chicken nuggets in our house. Its more fresh chicken and boiled potatoes and veg. My local school do the same menu - no processed rubbish, its fresh produce and healthy balanced diets.

Are the parents complaining because if they have to encourage their children to eat this, this would mean they would have to get off their backsides and cook it at home? No more microwave meals and dingy packed lunches, i wonder how many actually give their children wholemeal bread and add somefruit and salad in for the kids?

Right, I am sitting for a national exam just 2 weeks from now, and my annoying aunt and her family has just moved in, add a new maid too.
Now the aunt is a selfish, only-im-important sort, who has a young child and is over-protective of him(let's call him XY), I have a younger sibling, and whenever he plays with the child of my aunt, and XY doesnt get his way, he will, inevitably, somehow cry like as if the world has just, ended. I know I may sound a bit exaggerating, but its the truth.

And to add to the load, the maid is always using my stuff, without my permission. My bike, hairband... and whenever I tell my dad about these two, he just doesnt answer!

I understand its bad, but how am I supposed to study with these people around! Evil eyes and crys. >< Help?

i have to take this extremely pointless class called freshman studies that teaches you dumb stuff like writing homework in your planner as if we don't already know how. the teacher is really uptight and the class would be achingly boring if not for two of my close friends. we talk and laugh (not out loud) during class and try to entertain ourselves which sometimes does not go unnoticed. during times when she isn't lecturing we talk and laugh which probably gets on her nerves. so how do we pass notes and such more discreetly?
