Yes your studies are the most important thing for you right now. Studies show that only 1 in 10 relationships from high school will last the test of time. While studing and getting good grades will last you a life time. I had tons of friends in high school, I have not talked to any of them since the day I graduated. However, I have used every bit of my education, for college, work and just life in general.

This one is tricky...

For starters, stay at school. I was 15 and in Year 10 when I left, because I thought there were better things to do. Trust me, you're so close (I know the end can seem so far away) and it's so much harder to get back into it once you're out. The way people look at you when you tell them you didn't finish Year 10 is awful. It's like you're scum. I'm an intelligent woman, always did well at school, high distinctions etc but not having that stupid piece of paper made me not as good as everyone else. And it's not just employers... other people too. For the record, I went back to TAFE last year to get my HSC part time. I've got a husband, a son and a mortgage but I was sick of being looked at like that. PLEASE stay at school.

There is something that has always perplexed me though... in this country (I'm an Aussie, obviously) we give teenagers little to no rights, treat them like this weird mix between babies and slaves, give them no power to vote, or marry, or speak their minds freely... yet we expect them to decide at 14 what they want to be when they grow up, and then to run with that forever. We're forcing young adults we don't believe can make mature enough decisions to vote into making decisions that will in the end effect the whole nation. That same 14 year old who "isn't mature enough" to vote IS mature enough to decide to become a doctor, and to let loose cutting us all up... It's weird...

Anyway dude, stay at school. If nothing else, your Mum will love ya for it. Good luck.

Yes it is harder to learn later, but if you are determined, you can always learn things just as well after a few years (but not decades later). I would say perhaps not relationships that are the most important, but maybe people skills. You may be right about the relationships with the people around you. That's that reason why you see Hayley Westerna where she is now. It made all the difference.

Well, just a little like me when I was in high school. haha! Anyways yea u are right. Studies is the important thing for you now. It depends if you want to get good grade and make ur transcript look good for UC and etc...... It's ur choice! I recommend you take studying serious my friend because when you go to college it might be difficult to stay up till 4 in the morning just to get use to studying like me! Get the hang of it man and it will pay off latter!

Yes,but only in short times like have an hour and 1 half studding then go out for 15 mins and get some fresh air but only think about relationships when you have finished all your studying but try that method for about a month then think of relationships

HI my friend. Yes it is important for you to study now. But remember all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. Prioritise your life. Make time for other things but do concentrate on your studies as well because that is what makes you the person you will be in the future. Cheers !!

You may have heard this before but, in high school you should really enjoy yourself. Study and make passing grades yes,but for the rest of your life you will remember your high school days.
Do everything you want to do while in school (play baseball, football, track, volleyball or whatever!) Because if you don't I promise you, you will regret not doing it.
I wonder all the time what would have happened, had I accepted that baseball scholarship to LSU.
I regret not taking it everyday of my life now.

Study hard, get good grades and then go straight to college and finish! Trust me. I am 26 and still in college. Why - because I took too much time off after high school to travel and party and work because I wanted money right away. Just get it done with and then you will make bank and have time to do whatever you want! Trust me!

of course yes.studies will help you to understand alot of things that would be of great help in your near future.also, you need to know yourself well;what you want to do with your life, your likes and dislikes.the fact that you are in high school is good indication that you have been a good student.relationships will just take your time needed for studies, besides, there are disappointments in the called relationships.so,just take your time and concentrate on your studies.the time for relationships will come later after you fully mature.goodlucky
