Sorry, but I'm a teacher and I won't be talked into not giving assignments. This is why:
In order to teach well, I have to
(1) Give information
(2) Explain the information
(3) Help my students practice using the information as a group
(4) Help my students practice the information in small groups
(5)*** Have my students practice using the information by themselves ***
(6) Assess whether or not they have understood it or not, and whether or not they can use it.

****So you see, #5 is a key! My students must practice using the information by themselves, and that is usually done through homework! ****

Find a topic the teacher is interested in and try to bring that topic up at the right moments. You need to be careful with this one beacuse if you use it too much the teacher will catch on. But if there is a day that you don;t want to do homework try bringing up the subject about ten to fifteen minutes before the teacher usually gives homework

Lol...first of all i would say that u can never persuade a teacher for that reason...unless she is not strict...(even though she is very good..she gets convinced of not giving u the assignment on the day she was going to..but she is gonna giv it to u later..so wats the use??!!) [donno y i used SHE..i could have used HE..May b female teachers r better than the males.]....
And u must not do that coz it may spoil ur future..

Looks like you may need more assignments! Teachers use assignments to reinforce the lessons they are trying to impart to young minds in their classrooms (and increasingly, to older, retired minds going back to college for fun!)

You can't really, unless you have a really easy teacher to persuade. They give you assignments to help you learn and it's their job as well.

You can try to negotiate with the teacher. I think it is not possible to say no more assignments, but maybe two days' grace? Three days?

You can't. However, you can request that your teacher gives you a pretest at the beginning of each chapter/unit. This would enable her/him to see what you already know and only give you assigments on information not yet mastered.

We don't! For your case, we add 30 more plus additional house chores, and a after school job! Too, the TV stays off and computer games become a thing of the past.

Easy.

Prove that you already know the material backwards and forwards.

If you can't do that, then you need the assignment.
