Right, I am sitting for a national exam just 2 weeks from now, and my annoying aunt and her family has just moved in, add a new maid too.
Now the aunt is a selfish, only-im-important sort, who has a young child and is over-protective of him(let's call him XY), I have a younger sibling, and whenever he plays with the child of my aunt, and XY doesnt get his way, he will, inevitably, somehow cry like as if the world has just, ended. I know I may sound a bit exaggerating, but its the truth.

And to add to the load, the maid is always using my stuff, without my permission. My bike, hairband... and whenever I tell my dad about these two, he just doesnt answer!

I understand its bad, but how am I supposed to study with these people around! Evil eyes and crys. >< Help?

It does interfer, because that adds to the level of stress or whatever you call that, its better to study with a clear head and focused mind, right?

The public library, yes I do go there and have thought about it, but the problem is sometimes its really overcrowded, and all the seats are taken and when I sit between the shelves the librarians will kick me out. ><

Friend's house, yea. but my friends and me always end up playing... that never changes.

i suggest that u might want to study at study room which can be found in most of the community centres. (i'm not sure if u got to pay for it)

and of coz, studying with friends is a good idea. but try not to go to their house (u also said most distraction comes from home). Gather everyone in a school library or study room.

last but no least, why not suggesting to your school teachers or principal to let students who are taking the national exams to be able to go back for night study. ( when i was studying for my o levels, my school was opened till 10pm for the students to study. teachers were there to help too. )

All the best to you! (^.^)

I second the suggestion about the public library, or your school library if it is open for a while after classes are over. Even a local coffee shop could be a better location for studying than all the chaos you are living in!

Good luck!

Can you escape to the local public library every day? I'd get out of the house to somewhere quiet like that for a few hours (at least) every day. If no library is close, how about a friend's house? You could quiz each other that way too (if he/she is sitting for the same exam); that's assuming your friend has good study habits! :-)

So long as it isnt windy, how about the park? Take your book you have to study and sit under a tree. Or, try the picnic tables. The enviroment is soothing, and will allow you to concentrate on your studies.

Hope you do well on your exam!!!

Get a pair of sound blocking head phones. I don't know why the maid borrowing your stuff interfers with studying - but thats just wrong.

Get some earplugs! If you have to, you can throw a tantrum too.
