Right now I at university of michigan and I am struggling just to get C's in my classes and I am a biochemistry major. I looked at the syllabus and exams at university of wisconsin which has a good chemistry program but not great as michigan and realized that I am doing two - three times more work at my school whereas if I was at u of wisconsin taking these courses I would be getting A's and B's with much less work. Is it better to go to Univ of Wisconsin and graduate with a 3.5 than to struggle at U of M and get a low passing gpa like a 2.5

I need to take introductory financial accounting course. But, I could not find any college offering courses during winter break. The location does not matter, but urban area would be better.

it's so weird. I got 530 on my 1st practice test using gmatprep and 610 on my second. so I was hoping for at least 630... but during the test I was rushing, being stucked in questions and didn't use all those tips that I had learned from the Peterson's Review:))) so in teh result 510... sucks.. so badly.. and then I live in Armenia and Armenian is my first language. I don't know ... so what kind of schools can I apply in the world with tha kinda score? THANKS!!!

It's just that the class that I need to take in Spring is not offered at my college but is offered at a nearby college. As much as possible I don't want to leave my present school, so I am just wondering if I can take a couple of classes from another college while still going to my college.

I'm just curious as to which schools I might have a chance of getting into...I have a 4.16 gpa, with 4 extracurricular activities, ranging from service clubs to debate teams, and 1 spring sport, track. I also take ap and honors classes. I haven't taken my SAT's just yet, and I'm not ready to apply to colleges yet, either, but I'm just wondering where I could go for college. Any ideas?

I have a 4.2 out of 4.6 GPA and I'm a high school junior. I've taken honors bio, hon chem, anatomy and physiology, and am planning on taking ap bio senior year. I'm also in all honors classes for everything else, ap calc ab this year, and ap english. I'm also taking 4 years of French, the fourth being AP.

I want to go into Pre-Medicine but I don't know what colleges even have this major. Can you list out colleges that are high level but will still accept me and have pre-med? Thankyou!!

I'm currently a senior in high school and will be graduating in June of 2008. I've got a few 4 year colleges in mind around here but I have no idea where to start with this whole process. What I'm asking for is any tips or advice on how to go about this. I still need to take my SAT and I have started my essay but it needs a lot of work. I need to get applications still and schedule interviews and all this stuff and I just don't know where to start. Am I forgetting anything? I feel like I'm not going to get all this done in time.

I can get into a good school, like ranked in the 50's, but I really want to go to a top-ranked (top 20) school. If I work EXTREMELY hard in college and get like straight A's, could I transfer to a top 20 school?

I have a friend who was planning to get a 4-year degree is graphic design when she transferred to a university. She just realized that she isn't into graphic design as much as she thought she was, so she prefers to minor in it. Can she only minor in it? Can she get anything (such as some kind of a minor degree) from minoring? She knows for sure that she doesn't want to major in anything in that university.

I am 21 years old and I have been interested in medical since the start of this school year. I am very proficient in general chemistry as well as biology. I grasp the concepts of physics well. I plan to transfer to UC Berkeley in the Fall of 2008 to obtain a degree in Legal Studies. I have not started any premedical coursework yet. I also work two jobs (Monday thru Saturday) and go to school full time, three days a week at a junior college. What do you think my best route would be to enter medical school as far as my undergrad schedule goes? Biology and Chemistry next semester and summer? Should I quit one of my jobs. I work at a gym Saturday mornings and at an elementary school Monday through Friday. I still live at home but am financially independent to a certain degree. Thank you for your help and support.

I'm a senior in high school and I'm planning to become a pediatrician. Out of both convenience and quality of education, my first choice is UC Berkeley. However, I'm not sure which course will help put me on the right track to become a doctor. I realize that Biology is a suitable major, but I was hoping to get a BA in pharmacy so I have a stable job to fall back on in case I decide not to follow through with my first career path. The down side is that I'm not sure if UC Berkeley has a pharmacy major. My question is, is there a pharmacy major offered at UC Berkeley, and what majors are recommended for those who want to become pediatricians or any other medical field? (sorry in advance if this does not make sense.)

What if good students went to College for free?

Imagine if a college like Rutgers University offered a merit based refunds to it students that got good grades. If you earn a 4.0 g.p.a, you get a 100% refund on your tuition. Something like:

Refund%=100*[G.P.A.]-300
(i.e. a >3.0 g.p.a. gets you a 0% refund)

What kind of impact would this have on:
-The College
-The Student
-The Public &
-The World

I proposed this question in one of my classes, I'm a Economics & Sociology major so I have my own ideas, but interested in new/different/creative ones.

I have a 3.5 GPA and take place in extracurriculars and am a sophmore in high school. One college I am looking at is Babson college in Mass. for Business. I am not sure what other colleges are good business schools. I know Wharton is good, but that is a very long shot with my GPA.
