Right now I at university of michigan and I am struggling just to get C's in my classes and I am a biochemistry major. I looked at the syllabus and exams at university of wisconsin which has a good chemistry program but not great as michigan and realized that I am doing two - three times more work at my school whereas if I was at u of wisconsin taking these courses I would be getting A's and B's with much less work. Is it better to go to Univ of Wisconsin and graduate with a 3.5 than to struggle at U of M and get a low passing gpa like a 2.5

If the University of Wisconsin were really that easy, it would be known among grad schools and the higher GPA would be discounted to reflect that, but I'll admit that I find this hard to believe. My guess is that you are getting a skewed view of the other school. I would vote in favor of putting your extra effort toward studying, rather than transferring to what you are guessing is an easier school.

No gaurantees. Really and seriously. I went from the University of Arizona to TWU. You would expect TWU to be easier since it is a smaller, third tier school. I have twenty times the work load and the courses are evil and hard. I am doing well, but I have to work for it more now.

Plus, keep in mind (I am a bio major), that most chemistry finals are universal and standardized to some degree. If you don't like the school, transfer. That is the only reason to do so. You have no idea what the professors want and how hard the tests are based on a syllabus. You have a ball park, but you don't know until you are there.

The quality of education at Wisconsin is very close to that at Michigan. If you think that there will be less work, you are fooling yourself. If you think you will get better grades with less work, you are fooling yourself.

Why are you asking the same question over and over? It shows that you are incapable of learning -- which may be the real reason you are getting Cs.
