Currently in my 4th year and already 1 semester behind before the semester started. I failed my acct exam last week and now it looks like i will be 1 year behind. So instead of graduating in Spring 2008 and what i thoguth would be fall 2008, i will graduate in spring 2009. I might even be a 6th year senior if i keep on failing.

I really dont get how most people graduate on time when the workload just gets harder and harder unless of course you are really bright. I consider myself average in terms of intelligence but i am lazy.

I have a lot of friends who study accounting and they think its a shame that i am so behind when they graduating on time which would be in spring of 2008. However, none of them really live it up really and some friends tell me i should be only focused on studying. I should not be doing anything else at all. What kind of life is that right?

Some guy said he regretted studying so much to be on time and regretted not living it up in his last semester.

Thoughts?

Hi. I would really love to become a surgeon one day, more specifically a cardiothoracic surgeon. Does anyone know what I have to do? If someone could explain to me what I should specifically major in in undergraduate college, what do do in medical school, and how residency and training in my speciality works. If there is a cardiothoracic surgeon out there, please respond to this! That would be great if you could let me know exactly what I need to do and go through. Thanks!

I am in a predicament. I have the ability to get a total of four years completely paid for through a scholarship offered to me at the university I attend. I have finished the first year and all my core classes. So, now it is time I choose a major. I have worked in the business (restaurant) industry for the past 12 years and now I have the opportunity to do what I want to do. So the time has come for me to ask, what do I major in? I need something that will provide an open road to graduate studies. My thoughts always revert back, though, to the same thing, Political Science and business. I want to get a masters, but I don't want to waste time. I want to get the most out of it. What is your opinion, what would you do if you were in my spot? I am at the point where I can do anything. (Well, anything that is, that only requires Calculus I) I am passionate about teaching, especially on the college level, but is there really that much of a demand for those types of jobs?

I live in Montana but am considering one of these two schools as my safety school. I am also applying to Stanford, Harvard, Princeton, and Pepperdine. Both U of A and ASU have made generous scholarship offers to me. Which would you recommend and for what reasons?

I have less than a year to accomplish this, because my troop started late(normally, you're supposed to have three years). Please, if you fit one of the questions, answer it and help me get my Silver Award.

I have heard that an online PhD is generally not a good thing. I have also heard that Indiana State University is a good (reputable) school and the price is pretty good. Just looking for opinions and feedback.

Ok, I'm going back to school as a late junior, and this degree seems to be the fastest way of earning my degree. It's gonna have a focus in GIS(geographic information systems). I'm planning on going for my masters right after I graduate. Do any of you have experience with a general studies degree? I was looking at the requirements for it, and it basically looks like a BA, like they are identical. More and more employers are seeing the benefit of a liberal arts education, so this seems like the right route to take.

i mean all it is is a huge money trap.
idk why teachers are constantly barking at you "GO TO COLLEGE OR ELSE YOU'LL LIVE ON THE STREETS!!"
because neither of my parents went to college and we live in a house. and we have cars. loool
plus they're all like "GO TO COLLEGE RIGHT AWAY" but then you'll like change your maj and lose more money.
what a waste.
plus. college is just stupid and you can get a just fine job w/o it.
