I have a 4.2 out of 4.6 GPA and I'm a high school junior. I've taken honors bio, hon chem, anatomy and physiology, and am planning on taking ap bio senior year. I'm also in all honors classes for everything else, ap calc ab this year, and ap english. I'm also taking 4 years of French, the fourth being AP.

I want to go into Pre-Medicine but I don't know what colleges even have this major. Can you list out colleges that are high level but will still accept me and have pre-med? Thankyou!!

All colleges have some form of a premed program. Pre-med is not a major, it is a path that you take in order to become a doctor.

this should help, Good Luck.

Pre-Med Requirements: Undergraduate Courses and GPA Undergraduate Coursework In the past, if you wanted to go to med school you almost had to be a science major, and college advisors encouraged undergrads to concentrate on typical "premed" fields like biology, chemistry, and physics. Today, you have more choice. Most med schools encourage students to pursue a broad, liberal arts education and place more emphasis on the breadth and depth of coursework than the area of study. Still, admissions committees need to know that you can handle the rigors of science-intensive med school coursework and main-tain certain minimum requirements. Although mandatory courses vary somewhat from school to school, the basic requirements at most schools are as follows: Courses: Biology or Zoology Inorganic Chemistry Organic Chemistry Physics English A number of schools also require coursework in calculus or college-level math, behavioral science, the humanities, and computers. Some more competitive schools require advanced-level science courses, especially for students who meet basic requirements through high school advanced placement credits.

Duke University is one of the best schools in terms of preparing you for a top-notch med school. You may take plenty of crap for ACC haters but in the end, you'll appreciate the great education you get and the diverse student body you encounter.

http://www.petersons.com is a wonderful site to check up schools that have the major you want to pursue. Also consider this: b/c she wanted to go to medical school but couldn't afford it, a friend of mind did her BA in nursing....then got a job as a nurse, which is helping to pay her way through medical school. Not to mention, it's giving her great experience and helping her make contacts.
