Im an intern for a non profit organization and my major is psychology. This internship has nearly nothing to do with my major but Im there bc i believe that this organization has a great cause and the enviroment and people are fantastic. My tasks are mostly administrative work. I rather do more outreaching than filing and other administrative tasks. Now my question is how can i get the most outta of my internship bc i still have one semester with it and i dont just want to do administrative work there. I can also drop it and find another internship that has to do with my major but I really like it there.

thanks and please-- serious answers only.

since they're kinda of similar jobs..
but most psychotherapy courses are only offered at postgraduate level. I'm assuming Psychotherapists earn more than social workers, though i'm unsure. What do you think?? :]

I need some points of inspiration to come up with an idea for a retail shop--could be anything--I'm passionate about environmentally sustainable/responsible manufacturing methods? Why kind of store should I make up?

What resources ought I check out?

Hello!!! This year I'm a senior in high school and I'm really worried about getting in to the university I want. Ever since I began my college search I knew that I wanted to go to Rice University here in Houston, TX. From what I've heard this school is EXTREMELY selective. I'm not the smartest kid in school neither am I in top ten percent or am I in any advanced classes... well except for this year I am in a few. I do pretty good on my on level classes. So I'm probably a little bit above average. Also I've been in a few extra curricular activities and work... Now my only hope are my SAT scores!!! I'm really worried because I have high hopes of getting accepted and so does my family and friends and I just dont want to disappoint them! Now you can see why I'm worried! So my question is.... Is Rice as selective as they say? Do I even have a chance?

I was wondering if any college students or anyone in general has any good topics for a 7-10 page research paper? I haven't done a research paper since maybe junior high and I'm 20 yrs old so its been awhile. I'm not asking anyone to do my paper, I just have a major block. I thought about abortions but I don't want to look at pictures. Sad but true. I appreciate the suggestions!

Both of my friends are only going to take 3 classes in their freshman fall term. It's not like theyre lazy, its just that that's what their advisor gave them. Looking at my own schedule for fall, 3 classes seems kind of small

I've just recently started my major in finance and so far i've been doing quite well in all my classes. However, after some thought I'm beginning to wonder if perhaps this isn't the right field for me. I really want to achieve my goal of getting the degree but my biggest fear is being "trapped" into a certain field. Will the finance degree serve any use at all to me if I were to decide to pursue a non-business/corporate career? Or would it just be a complete waste?

What is the difference between a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degree? Is the course work less liberal for B.S. ? Will future employers care if 2 people who majored in the same thing but have different degrees have a preference for one or the other? Does having a B.S. mean you were more dedicated to your major? Thanks.

Why is it perfectly alright to have scholarships designed for blacks only, but it is considered racist to have scholarships for whites only? Note: there are a lot of academic settings in urban areas where whites are the minority.

I used to be told by everyone, teachers, counselors, parents, etc. that if you make straight A's in high school, take honors/advanced placement classes, graduate in the top 10% that I'd be able to get in to any college of my choice and get tons of scholarships so that I wouldn't have to worry about paying for college.

I'm a senior now and I've realized how much of a joke all that was. Pfft...I could never get in to any college of my choice just because of that and I also couldn't just have things paid for through just scholarships alone. I feel pretty mad because everyone said if you work hard, it pays off.

I'm finding that that's not true at all and it just makes me mad that I was made to believe that all my hard work would make everything easier. I'm finding out though, that when it comes to colleges, the best ones are not affordable and I really can't get the money I need to go to them. I could have done half the work in high school and still be in the same position as now.

I get good grades, generally A and Bs.
Do many extra curriculars in and outside or school.
And play soccer outside of school.
But not in school.
I am hoping to one day attend NYU or Columbia.
