I am going to attend Ohio State in the fall and i've tried to look up my textbooks for fall quarter but... with like no success.

I tried the barnes and noble bookstore website for OSU and I have two problems...
1--i can get the right course number but not the right section number
2--all of my class results except 1 have NO picked textbooks yet (i.e., they don't know what the textbook is yet)

what in the world am I supposed to do!? we start classes on the 19th

Just keep checking the school's bookstore website...professors often put in textbook requests right before classes start (not ahead of time, which would be MUCH easier on students). Go to the bookstore and ask them to help you find the section numbers you need. You could also wait until after the classes start before getting your textbooks. A lot of students do that...especially in classes they're not sure they want to stay in. Most professors do not expect you to have the textbooks on the first day anyway.

If you are able to find out the titles/authors of the assigned textbooks, you could get on amazon and order them, usually for a cheaper price than what university bookstores charge. Textbooks tend to be priced outrageously in university bookstores, so if you have the opportunity to save some money, do it.

Hope this helps.

Your school bookstore should be able to help you. At my school, I had to take my schedule with me and it was there that I was able to purchase my books, or off of our school store's website. However, most people at my school would look up what textbooks they needed from the website or in the bookstore and then purchase them online. You can buy textbooks for cheap at websites like amazon.com, half.com, or on ebay. Good luck, because lot of college textbooks are expensive!

Many people don't buy their textbooks until after the first day of classes, to ensure that the professor really intends to assign the text. If the books you need aren't listed, you may have to wait. It shouldn't hurt you, because everyone else will be in the same situation.

You talk to Ohio State or contact the B&N website for OSU.

You go to the campus bookstore. Find the course and the cousrse number and buy the books. If you go early enough you can save money and buy used books.
