I plan to attend university but I have to choose between Uni versity of Calgary or Concordia University in Montreal..An suggestions.. Advantages and disadvantages?

How do I find a job as a pharmacy technician? Do I need to be licensed? Do I need to take pharmacy tech traning classes at a community college so that I can be a pharmacy technician? Do you know where I can volunteer for experience
or even get paid for my experience? Can someone share?

Do university really check the transcript handed in by a student. Even if the transcript has a sealed on it and is sealed in a package?

Also if the transcript is from Canada and you plan to go to australia to study, do they actually check with the canadian Ministry board.

How about applying through an agency?

I'll be attending college soon, and apparently the college I'm going to has community bathrooms that are shared by the members of that floor instead of having bathrooms in the dorms themselves! How can someone live everyday waking up, going outside their dorms into a shared bathroom to take a shower? Is college life going to be the worst thing ever, or was the college website I went to not giving me enough info? Did everyone here have to go through the same thing while living in college? What was it like? I'm not very interested in sharing a bathroom with more than two people. And I'm sure there'll be more than two people on that one floor. Won't we all be fighting for a chance to take a shower in the morning? Don't all colleges have common sense to put bathrooms inside the dorms? Anyways my dreams of going to college have been shattered halfway. Can anyone give me some reassurance that it won't be that bad?

I'm a junior in high school and I'm beginning to look at colleges. I have 3.89 GPA, descent SAT scores, a pretty good transcript so far . The problem is that I hate school, I hate all my classes except for english and art. But my passion is for art, I'm told I'm good and that art school is definitely something to consider. I'm currently in AP studio art and I love it. But some say that going to an Art college would be a waste of talent in my other subjects, what they consider to be a real future. I believe that I would hate to anything else besides art as a career. I do drawing, painting, film, photography, and graphic design, art is what I enjoy. My parents aren't very supporting in this, they think art school will be too limiting. But I'm convinced that going to an art school is the only way I can be happy. Should I follow my dream of a career in art? Or should I play it safe, go to a college with an art program and hope that will be enough?

Why do you have to take classes in college that you will NEVER use in your career? Right now I am in algebra....when am I EVER going to graph inequalites again in my life? I think it might just be to torture us, or the colleges make more money if we have to pay for worthless classes? What's your opinion?

It's been said that doing a transfer from a junior/community college to the UCs is pretty do-able.
~Really, is that true?
~And how difficult/easy it is?
~My counselor is trying to encourage me to attend a CSU instead b/c [A] you could get "stuck" at the CCs and [B] they have low grad rates (meaning do people drop out of CC or after they transfer they drop out?).


My HS transcript has been "okay" until this year. I overtook difficult AP/IB courses and my grades will hurt my chances of going far. I'm looking into community college to ease my nerves a little, keep my parents happy in their own little world, and most of all: figure out what I want to do. I also want to open back the doors to the UCs; it's been something I really wanted before my family held me back (along with other issues).


Hopefully someone will have some answers for this...
And if there's anyone who made it to a UC from a community college, I would truly appreciate what you have to say! =]

i'm only a junior in high school but it's time to start thinking about where i want to go and what i want to do. i have those pretty much decided but i'm worried about whether or not i'll get in. all my closest friends are really smart and colleges send them stuff all the time. I think i'm smart...i have a 4.0 and have had all my life. i'm really invovled in school activities and lately i've been getting these invites to national leadership conferences but i'm just worried about if i'll make it in or not cuz there's lots of other people out there that are a lot smarter than me!!
