Good Day!

I am a Filipino college student and I'm currently taking up Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. I am planning to take up my master's and doctor's degree in Stanford university. I would like to ask the requirements to be completed for me to be admitted in the said university. Would it be difficult for me to be admitted with the fact that I came from a Philippine school? If it would be difficult, what school will recommend? Thanks.

It was my understanding that public colleges and universities in California were required to grant outside, public access to the use of the library collection, with certain restrictions, including priority use given to staff and students.

Some colleges in this state have been restricting access lately, to an extent unheard of ten or twenty years ago, including banning "visitors" from stack areas and access to books. What specific laws or California Regulations are in place that require campuses to grant access to the public?

Im very interested in obtaining two masters degrees, one in International Affairs and another in Urban Planning. The 1 school that has a joint degree for these is Columbia in NYC. It might be a little more $$$ than I can afford. There are 5 other schools that are highly regarded in both; Tufts, Harvard, Rutgers, Oregon, and Washington. None of those I would consider "comfort" choices, such as being close to home (Cal Poly SLO) or a city I would love to live in (Texas-Austin). So Im having trouble deciding on where all to apply. Any advice?

The student who takes all the AP/honors classes and receives high grades but participates in no extracurricular activities? Or the student who takes a few AP/honors classes, does community service, joins sports, and is involved in clubs? This year I'm taking one AP class and three honor classes. I'm doing well but I find it's rather difficult to balance time for homework and practice. [I run cross country and track.] School and sports are both important to me but I'm not sure whether I should continue taking every possible AP/honor classes in the future. I want to but regarding time, I think it'll be physically impossible. I've joined four clubs at school. I do a lot of community service and I plan to apply for NHS in the future. Should I stick with the AP classes and drop the extracurricular activities to make time? Or should I continue at this rate with the AP classes and activites? Is it better to be really smart or well-rounded?

I really want to get in to pre-med but I really need help or any good infos to help me make this decision. I am a sophomore transfer and I'm taking this chem class and I have a C in there right not--I don't know if I should drop that class because of that C. B/c I heard that if you want to get into med school, that C won't look good at all and especially it's a science course. So is dropping better or stay in it w/ a C?

I want to major in electrical engineering and get my degree asap, but I'm not sure how soon that will happen if a lot of colleges don't have many summer classes. Plus I'm only getting placed in intermediate algebra (I need to at least know calculus 1 for most of my classes in electrical engineering.)
