I want to go to college for either Computer Science or Electrical Engineering(leaning more towards EE ATM). Would it be faster to go to the University of Minnesota right away versus going to Normandale and then transfering over to the University of Minnesota?

One can clearly see that some of the children in the grade one class spoke a different language to the teacher than the language they used to communicate with their peers

I'm wondering whether I should pursue a career in Math/Science/Engineering at the University of Rhode Island or a career in the Graphic Design program at the Art Institutes. I do really well in science and math and have recently gotten very SAT scores back, but I'm not sure if that's what will be in the money in a few years. Is graphics more secure jobwise in the future or is being a chemist or computer engineer? Is it worth paying all that money to go to college?

I am interested in getting a job in a forensics laboratory. I am currently a chemistry major, but I am thinking of switching to biology. Would it be better for me to stay in chemistry and minor in biology, or switch to bio and minor in chem? Or should I do biochemistry (this honestly does not interest me very much). If I didn't get a job in forensics, I'd want to work for the CDC, NIH, etc. and study diseases/epidemics/the environment, etc. This makes it sound like I should major in bio, but I read somewhere chemistry is the best degree for forensics. Thanks!!

My semester is finished on Dec. 15 (yay!). However, for the first time in my life, I'm looking at failing at least one class. I had some health issues and then my grandpa died this semester which has made it a very trying time. The class is my statistics class, and it's a GE. I have another test on Thursday that I know nothing about what we are going to be tested on. I already have a 65% in there. If I fail, obviously the grade goes lower. What I need help with--is do I just throw in the towel? I've never been a quitter, but I don't know what I can do to raise this grade in 2 weeks.

Has anyone been enrolled in/currently enrolled in the Purdue University Distance Learning Vet Tech program? If so, have you gotten financial aid? What was your experience? Were the classes easy to keep up with? If you graduated, did you find a good job? Any other info would be appreicated also.

I got a 1910 on the november SAT (with a 700 in math). Is that good enough for the ivy league schools? And how much of that score do the colleges actually look at?

Also, what's the average score range for colleges that are "just under" ivy?

I've visited multiple websites but haven't found anything that stands out. What are some ideas that your school has done? That is, if you're willing to share?

I'm taking Calculus 1 and so far I have bombed most of my tests. Not only is the class messing up my GPA, I might not be allowed to take another class next semester if I don't do well in this one.

Also, my teacher is awful and the tudor I got is studying for his finals

I'm applying to a gradute program that requires the usual materials including three letters of recommendation. However, I graduated from my undergrad college 10 years ago and have no contact with my professors there. To top it off, the degree I'm considering (Creative Writing) has nothing to do with the degree I earned as an undergrad (Technical Theatre). I have a couple of letters from employers but I know that this isn't enough. Can anyone provide any advice on what I could do?
