I need to know how I can calculate my college GPA. I've looked at calculators on a search, but all the ones I've seen have a + or - grading scale, and my college doesn't do that. It also needs to be based on the number of credit hours each class counts for.

there's a new school policy that's been put in since our new principal came 2 our school.the policy is this:if you want a pass 2 the library during tutorial,u have 2 go & get a pass from the librarian in the morning,b/c the teacher's passes don't count anymore.so i went 2 get a pass from the librarian in the morning,& she said, that i couldn't have 1,b/c i was on the failing students list.now i was doing a research paper that was 4 my semester exam,& it was for 1 of the classes i was failing.so i couldn't do it during tutorial,i have nothing else to do,so i spend 30 mins. doing nothing.i stormed out of the library, crying b/c now i'd have to miss lunch 2 do it.a teacher took me 2 the principal,& she got me a pass from the librarian,4 tutorial, but what do i do the 2 other times i need to go to the library?& any other time?do i always have to go to the principal?what do i do?my teacher thinks its stupid,b/c if ur failing then u should be able 2 go 2 the library to work.i don't know what to do anymore.i'm always going to be on the failing students list.

I am studying the difficulties faced for sign language users who have never heard sound, in learning to read.

I am particularly interested from the perspective of linguistics. For example is the acquisition of language across hearing and non hearing populations the same? Does having a visual base language help or hinder the process of reading written English? Does phonetics and the ability to hear sound have any major influence?

I would be particularly interested to hear from non hearing people who have faced difficulties in learning to read....what have these difficulties been and how did you overcome them? What developments have been useful and what is still lacking?

I want to hear your views.

Thanks

For the RN Program? Most the people there will be younger no doubt. I feel like an old man compared to them. Is age 26 to old? I have a good paying job right now, but I think nursing is my calling. I worked as a tech when i was younger and I really felt good knowing my job was helping ppl. I dunno though 26 is kinda ancient for college aint it? Plus im making real good money where im at now. Im just bummed!

Some people have told me that it isn't worth the money, and some that it is. They say that when you graduate you have a huge debt, so even if you get a good job you are behind because you wouldn't be able to buy a house or even a car because you would be paying the loans. Also, that the time you are in Graduate school you could be using it to gain experience and gaining seniority in whatever organization you are in. So is it really worth the money?

It seems that there must be a large ton of already experienced people out there that were born with experience or all the good jobs are being taken by the sons/daughters of those already in power at companies. It just seems that people ought to be hired off there interview skills and what their drive and motivation can bring. Almost anything in this world can be learned with on the job experience and instruction.

I transferred a few times in my undergraduate career. When figuring out my undergraduate gpa, do I use all of my past schools, or do i just use the GPA that I earned at my last, degree-granting school?
I am asking for chances of graduate school admission, so how an admission board looks at GPAs of transfer students.
Thanks :o)

I was considering going to college(possibly at the school of Visual Arts in NYC) to get a degree in photography. I am wondering if this would be a good decision. Are there any jobs for photographers nowadays? What kind of jobs could I obtain? I could use some advice from some professional photographers. Thanks.

I already have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and I am deciding to go to Medical School. Does it matter where I take the pre-reqs that I am missing (bio, chem, and organic chem) and does it look bad if I take these courses at multiple schools?

Should I compute two seperate GPA's (comp sci vs pre-med courses) or combine everything and compute one GPA?

Thanks!

I'm interested in becoming a Pharmacy Tech...
I'm finding the most information on accredited programs, which leads me to assume that there are no college courses for it. Is this the case? If there are college courses, what schools offer them?
For the accredited programs, which one is best?
Thanks!

Is there any type if credit bank that would combine all my classes to recieve an AA degree. I live in CA and all the credits are from bay area junior colleges, SFSU, and trade school. I recently was able to transfer to JFKU in the BA psychology program but would still like to get an AA degree if possible.
