It depends. Was your verbal score higher than your analytic score? By how much?

Retake the GRE if you want a better shot at assistantships and/or fellowships.

Much depends on your letters of recommendation, your personal statement, and your writing sample. Make sure to show your methodological sophistication in the latter two. Be clear about your prior preparation for graduate study, as well as your long-term goals.

And apply widely. Even with the same qualifications, some programs might not admit you, while others might offer you assistantships with full tuition remission and a stipend.
