SAT 1 is a "reasoning" exam. It includes sections of writing, reading, and math, but does not directly test your knowledge of any subjects. The SAT 2s are subject-specific exams. You can think of them as a 1-hour "final" for the class. Get more information at a free "admissions 101" seminar at your local Kaplan center. You can also take a free practice test to see how much you need to prepare for your SATs.

good luck!
