I'm taking Calculus 1 and so far I have bombed most of my tests. Not only is the class messing up my GPA, I might not be allowed to take another class next semester if I don't do well in this one.

Also, my teacher is awful and the tudor I got is studying for his finals

Do you use a TI-86? You can program some formulas/notes into the calculator and this will also help you to review the material. Keep going over your notes and class work. I would also check into a tutoring group. Sometimes other students can reword the material and it will just "click". Good Luck!

Even though your teacher is awful, he still probably knows the calculus. Bring your tests in and talk to your teacher about what you don't understand. Read the book. It's dull and boring, but it really explains the concepts.
