you should have a 4.0

a=4
b=3
c=2
d=1
f=0

add and divide by the total number
you have two A's
4+4=8/2=4.0

What you will do is take all of your grades and add points. You get 4 points for an A, 3 for a B, 2 for a C and 1 for a D. You will add up all of the numbers together and divide it by how many letter grades you have. So if you have 3 A's 2 B's and 1 C your GPA would be 19/6 which would be a 3.16 and it would round so a 3.2.

GPA (grade point average) Is based on what letter grade you got in each of your courses. In most places, those would both be a 4.0. (but it can depend by school). Also, you can have a 93% average and still have below a 4.0, say you got 98 in one course, and 88 in another, your average would still be 93%, but your GPA would reflect a 4.0 and a 3.0 (although these depend entirely on where you are) so your overall gpa would be 3.5.

They are both "A" so the grade point average will be 4.0
90% to 100% = "A" = 4.0
80% to 89% ="B" = 3.0
70% to 79% ="C" =2.0
60% to 69% = "D" =1.0
0% to 59% ="F" =0.0
