Am I on the right track to getting into UC Berkeley? I also live in CA, if it's relevant at all.

I do know extracurriculars are important, and I plan to get involved sophomore year.

What other well-reputed colleges can I get into with a 3.67?

I don't think anyone who's answered yet has ever applied to a UC.

First of all, UCs don't count your freshman grades.

3.67 is good, but I'd really try and up it for a better chance at Berkeley. Your SAT will be critical as well. 3.67 is on the low side for Berkeley/UCLA, so you'd have to balance it with a higher than average SAT score (think 2200+). And yes, extra currics and stuff are important, but the bulk of it will be your GPA and SAT score.

You get more leeway if you can show the school you're an underrepresented minority (non-asian) or come from a poor socio-economic background.

I'm also a freshmen in California, so yeah:
Another college you can attend to is UC Davis, or a state university. I think you should try alittle harder to get a better gpa. I don't think you can get into UC Berkeley anymore, considering they mostly accept 4.0s+. Also, it's great to have more than the required community service learning hours. (40 each years is good.) Another thing colleges love is seeing people play sports and join clubs every year.

Honestly, your freshman year doesn't have that much significance to colleges. Generally because there are many required classes that everyone has to take. But, it DOES play into your overall GPA. So keep up the good work :D And pay very good attention to your junior year, it is the most important one. Take honors classes if available, or somewhat challenging classes. Colleges like to see that.
UC Berkely takes mostly instate students, like a huuuge amount. So you're on the right track. Keep your grades up and you should be fine.

did u say first semester of high school? like ur freshmen year? just so you know colleges don't really look at ur freshmen year grades. whats important is ur 2nd and 3rd year in high school. basically they look at ur over all GPA. not just ur freshman year one. just keep up the good work. take some AP classes if ur high school offers them. pass the AP test that way u don't have to take it in college. i went to berkeley myself. its quite challenging and really competitive. remember to do stuff that aren't academic. like do community services, music stuff: band choir. get some awards. get on honor roll or whatever. anyways good luck with high school and ur SATs.
