First thing I look for is academic reputation. Is the school challenging, does it send students to graduate school or have a high job placement rate?
A good thing to look for is professor involvement. Are they accessible and do they mind if you come to them?
Selectivity is important so the students know whether they can get in or not. Look at standardized test score and acceptance rates.
Definitely if you have an idea of your major, what kind of program do they have?
Cost of course is a big issue. Don't just look at the "sticker price", pay attention to the amount of aid they give on average.
Location may matter to some people, it may not. Consider distance from home, big city vs. small town, ect.
Some people might not consider weather, but in a place where it is extreme, you need to think about it.
Residence life can be a big factor. Take a look at the dorms, the amount of extra activities, ect.
Also, you might want to consider the strictness of the administration. What are the rules and how are they enforced. Keep in mind that some schools, like U of Notre Dame and Grove City have a no sex, no drugs policy. Others couldn't care less if you were high and having an orgy.

There might be a few other things, but in addition to what you already mentioned, those are pretty much it.
