Do university really check the transcript handed in by a student. Even if the transcript has a sealed on it and is sealed in a package?

Also if the transcript is from Canada and you plan to go to australia to study, do they actually check with the canadian Ministry board.

How about applying through an agency?

G'day,

If you are applying thru the agency, the agent will take any original or certified copy of your transcript and send them together with your application form to the uni.

It is the Australian uni admissions team that will check your transcript carefully. If they sense something fishy (FYI, they always have training to detect document forgeries from time to time) then they can contact the school by e-mail or the department of education.

The check will also done when you are applying for a student visa in the Australia High Comm, since you must also submit some documentations with your application. There the documents will be even under more close scrutiny, just incase the unis ppl miss something.

Of course since there are literally thousands of applications, there may be a number of applicants that went thru the net. However it is not worth doing it. If you are caught supplying false documentation, then your name will be put on blacklist to come to Australia for any purpose, and maybe a criminal record in your home country.

There are ways to start fresh if you are interested to continue your education in Australia. If you cannot get to uni directly b'cos of bad results, then you can start from TAFE (vocational studies). Some TAFE's got accellerated program that will get you to finish uni with a degree without losing much time at all.

Hope this helps. Good luck for your study and welcome to Australia (with genuine transcript)...

The agency usually doesn't check. Most schools have to check foreign transcripts. They may not check if you are doing a student exchange or a semester. But if you want to stay and transfer credit they are legally bound to check.

If they find out yours is a forgery they have to notify the government and your student visa to the country will be canceled.

Well, sort of. They usually do mi;d background checks but if you cover your tracks even in a mediocre way they won't catch you. But if anybody wants you kicked out of college then they just have to find one thing that u lied about on ur transcript and you will be kicked out of college and no acceptable college will ever accept you. Lying on ur transcript is very dangerous and really no worth it.

I would not presume that they don't.
All the colleges and Universities are inter-connected in some form and all it takes is a phone call, correspondence or E-mail to verify something.
