I think photography might be something I can stick with until the last sequence, but C++ would only be for 1 or 2 semesters. If I plan on majoring in biology, which course I choose to take during my sophomore year?

I'm almost finished my first year of university working on a Bachelors of Science in Physics. I really want to be able to get into graduate school in 3 years, but I've got some GPA boosting to do before then.

I know I have the intelligence to get my GPA above 3.0, but I'm not sure what some appropriate steps would be to take.

So far, in the 5 courses I've taken:

Physics Math Math Chem Econ
B B- C B- C+

At my university, that amounts to a 2.54 GPA.

I know I have plenty of time to bring it up, and graduate admissions generally only looks at the last 60 credit hours anyhow.

What can I do to raise it? I think my biggest problem is that I generally study enough to get an average grade (as evidenced by my marks) or to just barely beat the curve. How can I get myself to study more?

Hi, I am currently in my 2nd year of college going for a psychology major with a minor in business, but was wondering if this is the way to go towards becoming a family lawyer...? By family lawyer I mean one who deals with everything such as civil, financial, business, and legal cases for a family...? I would like to do this because I want to deal with civil as well as legal cases, and would like to do business (financing, etc...) on the side also...Just wondering what it would take, any advice, majors to choose, schools in california, etc...Any help please? thanks

I want to get a job working with people that have behavioral health problems. What should I study in college. It's really confusing to me.. Should it be in social science, psychology? I don't necessarily want to be a psychologist.. Thanks in advance.

I am Shuhan living in Bangladesh. My younger brother is now living in USA permanently & work hard & earn about $2000/month. In Bangladesh I am earning $200/month working in a private office. We all are living with our parents with large family member. My younger brother continuously support us by sending some currency. But I want $5000~6000 from my younger brother so that I can do some business & help him to make more $ and our family. If he keep $ in his personal bank account, it does not give him more benifit, but if I use his $, I can use it properly & make good benifit and it will help all of us to a great extent. Please advice how I will convince him with my good idea.

-If i go to SF, I would not get a car, but if i went to Vanguard, I would get a car my second year.

-I'm kind of leaning towards SF because I want to leave home and do things on my own, but I don't know if I can allow myself to do that.
-P.S. I feel really lost.

With the college process almost done, I'm still anxiously waiting for a few schools.

UCSD, UCI, USC, Northwestern, UCLA

i currently have a 3.0 gpa weighted and 1760 SATs 730,560,490 Sat IIs numbers are terrible compared to my peers but im stacked on extra curriculars and leadership and a truckload of volunteer hours and probably decent essay writing

I already got in uc davis, syracuse, uc riverside and a full ride to u of arizona

what are my chances of getting into those 5 schools listed above respecitvely? thank you

I'm nearing the end of my first year of college, and getting no closer to deciding what I want to do. I've taken classes to assist me in deciding and researched majors and career paths over and over again. I'm slightly interested in a few things but just can't bring myself to commit. It either wouldn't pay enough, or I'm afraid I won't get jobs. I've talked to counselors and taken personality tests. I would love to be able to just pick something I'd love to do, but I dont know what that is!!! And I'm not being materialistic, just realistic when I say I need a relatively high-paying job. It's just really important to me to be able to give my future family a great life. But nothing seems to be good enough... or interesting enough. I really need some advice. The pressure is overwhelming... I thought i would have decided by now. But I'm no closer than I was in elementary school!

I want to go to this summer program/camp. You can earn college credit and looks good on my college application. It is somewhat like a "once in a high school life chance" because few are selected to take advantage of it. The only problem is ... it is about $2300. My mom won't pay for it and I can't get that much money by summer (I am going to be a junior...but right now I am 15...no job for me.....) Do you think I can write to Bill Gates asking for a donation so I can go to this program. I heard he REALLY supports education. I really want to go and better yet, the program involves technology =]

I have applied for Phd in Pharmaceutics for fall 2007. I have earned 1430 in GRE ie 630 in verbal and 800 in maths 4 in AWA , 263 in Toefl 6 in Essay. What are my chances? Most of the universities informed they will be making decision in early March but I have not yet received any response from them yet. Does that mean i have been denied admision or do i still have a good chance ,its just a delay.I have been mailing them regularly. Should I call them up and ask my status ? Will that have a bad impact?Further I have been put in waiting list in one University. Is it a way the University means to say that i am not fit for the post and just to be soft they have informed me that I am in waiting list?

Does the school have to offer a specific program, or can you pair up any two that interest you (with some discretion of course)?

I am considering attending a graduate program at Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Are there alot of graduates there? I wonder what the average age of students is. I am also curious about life and the social scene with graduates vs. undergraduates. How many grads attend school there? I am hoping that people will have great input about what campus living and life is like at Hebrew University in Jerusalem and if anyone can comment on the connections, in the work world, that a graduate program from this school might offer. Thanks for the advice!
