GPA is only half the story.
Be sure to add some volunteer work or extra after school activities to your admissions application.
Furthermore, now is a great time to start practicing for your act or sat test since some schools rely on them for decisions regarding placement. GOOD LUCK!

UCLA-possible if you have MAASSSIVE amounts of extra curricular activities and a kick *** SAT score pluusss a great personal statement for the cherry on top!

UCR-very likely to get in...sometimes the system is weird though...i knew a guy who had a 2100 SAT fantastic AP scores and a decent GPA that didn't get accepted to any UC. It was very very unfortunate.

UCR is the bottom of the chart...UCLA is 2nd best to UCB...so many you wanna try landing somewhere in the middle...like UCI or UCSB.

Just because you have the minimum GPA doesn't mean you can get in. Competition is getting tough now.

Assuming you have an average SAT score, Riverside is your best bet. UCLA normally requires a MUCH higher GPA.

It's really hard to get a good idea of your chances unless you list the bulk of your application: GPA, SAT scores, how many APs, extra currics, and anything else that might be significant.

You will have no problem getting into a UC school. Make sure your applications are in early! UC Riverside is almost guaranteed; they take pretty much anyone who will apply who has above a 2.0. I attend UCR, and had a 3.9 GPA. My friend, bless him, graduated with a 2.0, and he got in as well.

Your GPA is somewhat on the draw back and your ACT is conventional. i imagine you've a strong danger at transferring into. Make you you've lots of APs this senior 3 hundred and sixty 5 days and ought to opt to take the ACT an extra advantageous time. i'm a California resident and that i plan to video demonstrate there as well. strong success to the both one people! :]
