I want to go to this summer program/camp. You can earn college credit and looks good on my college application. It is somewhat like a "once in a high school life chance" because few are selected to take advantage of it. The only problem is ... it is about $2300. My mom won't pay for it and I can't get that much money by summer (I am going to be a junior...but right now I am 15...no job for me.....) Do you think I can write to Bill Gates asking for a donation so I can go to this program. I heard he REALLY supports education. I really want to go and better yet, the program involves technology =]

It's probably awful to have this golden oppurtunity but be restricted from attending because of finances.
I don't know whether Bill Gates will do anything, but to tell you the truth, it sounds really bizarre.
Think about it this way:
If every kid who wanted to go on an enrichment trip wrote to him, who would he support and who not?
People rarely do individual donations to others who aren't disabled etc.
